Problem is, with the constant and suffocating saturation of social media there has to be transfer rumours 24/7 and you don't know who to believeSeems that your mate didn't pass that info on to Lampard.
I think it was BSA who said that every signing you make should improve your 1st team, This notion of squad players is what gets you relegatedWhen you say "as it is now", do you mean he's a 3rd choice who you would be happy to come off the bench as an impact or play alongside Stewart sometimes? If so, I agree.
But that's not really how the club operates. We're planning 3 windows in advance and I don't think we invest in players to be back ups.
So the real questions are:
1) Does he get in the first XI at full strength?
2) Do you think he's capable of playing as a lone striker?
3) Do you think he's better than Simms?
4) If we kept Stewart, do you think Broadhead is capable of being 2nd striker at a club looking to be promoted from the Championship?
He was excellent in L1 (when fit). There is nothing to suggest he could cut the mustard in The Championship

You could say that about many of our players before the season started.
But our players are proving it in the Championship and Broadhead can't get in the Wigan team.
Says more about Wigan than NB.
We got the best out of him. He suits our style.
Wigan dont play through the phases, they lump the ball up to him and that isnt his game. He is at his best when a team plays short quick passes, which we do. Im not saying he would be amazing for us but his movement is class and he would be an asset to us for sure2 managers at Wigan have felt the same, not one.
How do Wigan ask him to play which doesn't suit him?

Bang on, he wasn’t in the game up here a couple of months back. The one time he received the ball to feet in the first half, he turned our defender with ease (O’Nien iirc) and Wigan had a decent counter. That might’ve been the build up to their goal, can’t quite remember.Wigan dont play through the phases, they lump the ball up to him and that isnt his game. After watching them last night, I think that is the case…I'm not saying Broadhead should be The Signing that we go for above anyone else but I rated him pretty highly before and I'd be happy to have him back. I think he'd slot right in with the likes of Amad, Roberts etc.
If he's not getting a game for Wigan it probably means they don't know what they're doing.

Maybe not, I wouldnt be disappointed if we signed himI don't disagree that he'd be good for squad depth to be honest, I just don't think we're in the business of paying for squad depth (without a very high ceiling).
I don't ever see him being a starter for us and we'd be paying for a lad who is 25 before the end of the season and has never achieved anything more than a good half a season at League One.
