Liverpool target Martin Montoya is confident he will still sign a new deal with boyhood club Barcelona.

Brendan Rodgers is keen on the 22-year-old and sent managing director Ian Ayre to Catalonia in November to discuss a possible deal.

The right-back is free to talk with other clubs as his contract expires in June, but he believes he will remain at the Nou Camp.

"I'm at the best club in the world and I am in no hurry to sign," he is quoted as saying on TWW. "I'm sure it will work out."

rakitic is an midfielder who's scored a decent haul at every club he's been at and is seville captain too. He can play playmaker or more forward so i guess a comparison could be sahin i guess.

Sky Sports understands that Premier League clubs are considering an approach for Lille forward Salomon Kalou.

Table-topping Arsenal and title hopefuls Liverpool are both believed to be keeping a close eye on his situation.

Were they to make a move, they would be getting a man who knows all about English football.

Kalou spent six years at Chelsea between 2006 and 2012 - netting 60 goals for the club.

He has been linked with a return to England ever since he took the decision to head for France on a free transfer.

January 2014 could see him make such a move, with interest in his services mounting.

What do people actually think of this?

And apparently we've made a £25m bid for Mata.

Kalou <laugh> I really hope that one is not true. I would rather have Darren Bent.

Wouldn't go that far but I wouldn't want Kalou either, esp. if his introduction limited game time for Sterling who appears to be getting better each game, dropping him now in favour of a has-been could be detrimental to his development!

no on Kalou personally.

dint rate him at Chelsea and he was surrounded by better players than we have and didn't think much of him then, so with us dont see him being better.

Mata i ****ing wish we got him, class player.

Lets hope that's the case..
Similar what we did with the new Suarez deal, hear nothing and bang, Player(s) X,Y and Z are signed sealed and leaning up against an goal post!

Suarez was a long running rumour, basically the whole of the January window and we signed him on the last day.

Ya but COutinho was out of nowhere! We all thought Sneijder and then suddenly pictures pop up of this kid Coutinho at Melwood.

Coutinho had been rumoured for a while but the Sneijder talks were overpowering it. It did look like we'd missed out as Inter were struggling (and eventual failed) to get Paulinho but it certainly didn't come from nowhere.

Few reports on Salomon Kalou

Get ****ed!

Coutinho was signed on the 30th of January. Sturridge was the first day <ok>

Yep, this <ok>

Loans aren't ideal but.....

Caseimero from Real Madrid? CDM but can also look to thread balls forward. Strong in a tackle, still young and possibly a buy out clause? At one point was THE next DM out of Brazil then went to Real and has been slowly moving his way up.

Fifa...? <laugh>

Apparently Banega is available for £8m...

Sign him up!

kalou is too weak mentally. he looks defeated in big games before he takes the field.

mata.. 25mil? we've no chance.... but then chavski have no chance with 30 for rooney. they need to fund that to make it happen for ffp.. we can help ;) no seriously no chance.

banega.. fine if he is.. would be like eriksen, makes sense to all but rodgers.

Both of them are rubbish and I wouldn't want either, I was just trying to make a point of how rubbish I think that Kalou joker is.

Oh what a signing Banega would be.. Will never happen though. One of them players you wish for all the world you'd sign but for one reason or another no manager seems to fancy him.
