I do agree about players who are composed and confident. absolutely. I also agree with cissohko and moses and players of experience who should do a job are also disappointments... lesson? small clubs can get away with loans, big clubs shouldn't try it.

I'll stand my my assessment of alberto and for that matter ilori, what i've seen doesn't suggest much.

now.. fees... aspas on his own cost 7mil. cissohko and moses before wages each cost 1mil for the loans... value? not really. its cheap but its not pushing us on. sterlings done great since he came back in and got a goal.

Really expected more from Cissokho and Moses - a real shame that it isn't working out but cannot see BR signing them permanently.

Thing with Moses is his attitude, he's unlikely to make it at Chelsea now, he's last chance at a "big" club was with us, so you'd expect him to be going great guns to prove he can/should be considered for wide berth at one of the top teams in the league.
Agree with MITO, if he doesn't improve between now and the end of the season, can see him going to a lower end Prem/newly promoted team next year because he won't be getting an extended stay with us and he'll be surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

Moses is a good runner but he has a pathological fear of the goal and is indecisive. MITO has a point, Alberto is a languid player who doesn't look to push forward and slows us down, likes to take his time on the ball and often tries to do too much with it, goes for the complicated when then simple is needed. We need directness, I think Sterling has found that hence why he is looking a player again, what he does isn't complex he runs hard at the opp, uses diagonals and pace to get the ball in the area or get in a dangerous position.

i was thinking that there was a starting slot there for him the minute sturridge went down and he was sure to play etc etc... but he didn't deserve it and stelring did ok. I would actually like us to if we can buy and then send him home frankly... i am not sure salah is good or not but i do know assiadi is benefiting frmo games but is easily as good as moses.

I think we're being quite harsh on both, especially Aly who is trying hard - not world class and unsure of himself but he puts a shift in and wants to learn. Think he just needs confidence.

  9. Cissokho's had one good game (Hull) for us so far but he wasn't exactly tested during that game. He's looked woeful at best.

PS...I don't know how he did yesterday having not seen the game so I'm excluding that one.

well.... who knows. there was a rumour yesterday that was patently false in spain about a huge double bid that has not filtered to england yet. salah stuff has been milked dry by all concerned.... I think with a world cup coming up anyone needing to move ought to be agitating by now.

Heres the link for that one

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/...pool-among-those-looking-at-mk-dons-dele-alli

MK Dons are aware of the interest Dele Alli is attracting, with Liverpool among those monitoring his progress.

The teenage midfielder made his Football League bow at the age of 16 in November 2012 and has taken on a more regular role with the Dons this term.

It has not taken long for his potential to be noted by Premier League suitors, and talk of a January step up is gathering pace.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was in attendance as the Dons held FA Cup holders Wigan Athletic to a 3-3 draw at the DW Stadium on Saturday, and Alli is said to have been the focus of his attention.

He will have left impressed by what he saw, with Dons manager Karl Robinson of the opinion that he has a 'special' talent on his hands.

Robinson said in the Daily Mirror: "I know Brendan quite well and we speak about different players all the time.

"There may have been another reason why he was at the game, but you've seen Dele and he's special.

"Yes, he did some silly things but he's 17 years of age. He did bits of magic too.

"You don't see many 17 years olds playing in an FA Cup third round tie against a very good Wigan side and not looking out of place.

"I'm very proud of his development."

I think it's quite good that we're not hearing much news - the club are doing their business behind closed doors. <ok>

    Lets hope that's the case..
Similar what we did with the new Suarez deal, hear nothing and bang, Player(s) X,Y and Z are signed sealed and leaning up against an goal post!

Sturridge was but wasn't Coutinho signed nearer the end of the window?
