They'll be giving a guy who's 35 years old a 3 year deal on 80k a week? Hopefully it happens. He's only doing well in Italy because the game is much slower, he wouldn't have as much time in the premier league.
As classy as Pirlo is, he's not what we need - we need an energetic ball winner with a real physical presence.

That's the one. Established himself as a key player for Sociedad and scored 12-13 goals last season playing on the right wing. Still only 24.

As much as I rate Will Hughes, I can't help but think that we need a player who is ready to slot into the team now.
I'm glad we're targeting the best talent around the world, but the first team takes priority.
I'll be happy if we get Hughes and I suspect he will return to Derby on loan, bit I hope it doesn't affect our spending in January i.e. spend £10m on Hughes means we have £10m less to spend elsewhere.

I think he has more in his locker when it comes to attacking - and he's only 18. Real eye for a pass, similar to Coutinho.
What about the Welsh player we already have on the books, Harry Wilson was it?
