Hotly playing today, let's see if he can back up my argument in the fact I think he'll be a good player for us.
Obviously not going to happen but he is what we need. Probably what most of us hoped Moses could do too.
Spurs set to beat of competition and sign midfield legend for FREE in January! 'The 34-year-old is due to fall out of contract at Juventus but the Turin giants have yet to tie him down to a new deal and reports suggest Spurs could pounce. Juve are not willing to offer a player of Pirlo's age a three-year deal and the Italian legend is sure to jump at Tottenham's offer, which is also reported to be worth £80,000 a week.' - Report Clubcall. Pirlo could leave at the end of the season for free, and Tottenham could sign him for free on a pre-contract agreement in January. They are reportedly willing to offer 34 year old Pirlo a massive 3 year deal!
They'll be giving a guy who's 35 years old a 3 year deal on 80k a week? Hopefully it happens. He's only doing well in Italy because the game is much slower, he wouldn't have as much time in the premier league.
Guissepe Rossi would have been a gamble, but I think would have a been a cracking buy. Was back to his clinical best today against Juve.
As classy as Pirlo is, he's not what we need - we need an energetic ball winner with a real physical presence. Rossi and Vela would be great buys in my opinion - I do have a 'thing' for Vela, such a classy finisher.
That's the one. Established himself as a key player for Sociedad and scored 12-13 goals last season playing on the right wing. Still only 24.
Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom, 20, looks set to join Championship club Derby County on loan. Full story: Daily Mirror
As much as I rate Will Hughes, I can't help but think that we need a player who is ready to slot into the team now. I'm glad we're targeting the best talent around the world, but the first team takes priority. I'll be happy if we get Hughes and I suspect he will return to Derby on loan, bit I hope it doesn't affect our spending in January i.e. spend £10m on Hughes means we have £10m less to spend elsewhere.
I think he has more in his locker when it comes to attacking - and he's only 18. Real eye for a pass, similar to Coutinho.
