No. The one which is relevant to the point made by hovetiger.................'If Robertson goes............

I'm not sure what your point is when that wasn't the part of his post I was criticising? I read that part. It still didn't mean his post made much sense.

Perhaps read my post again (the one you quoted). <laugh>

Robertson, Livermore and Snodgrass didn't get us relegated- it was can't be arsed loanee types like Ben Arfa, N'Doye and Ramirez, plus Bruce sticking Davies on the naughty step and playing ever more defensively as the season went on that did for us, along with some unlucky injuries.
On Tymon- if Robertson out was about reshaping the squad and allowing Tymon to come through, why haven't we tied at least tied him down to a long term professional deal?
Steve Bruce got us relegated by playing negative football and poor signings

If he's so bad it's odd that Bilic, Silva and others have shown interest. It's also hard to believe that the Italians allowed a gash defender to play 21 times for the national team (English managers maybe, but not Italians).

So you're telling me you've never seen a ****e player attract interest and thought 'why the **** do they want to sign him?' Also, as for Bilic being interested, yeah his signings this season have worked out great haven't they... "cough" Simone Zaza "cough".

That's exactly what I didn't say. That's a new one, being accused of something I didn't say even when there's the capacity to look at it on a screen just to be sure.

I said I wouldn't mind if Robertson went in general, but I'd not be happy if he went for £10m.

Happens to me all the time...

Why would that be odd? Discussing the impending sale of the player and saying "While everyone has a price this is the wrong time to sell him" doesn't make sense to you?
Who said that at the time we were debating it then? (Apart from me)
I'd just let it go, it doesn't need explaining and I'm not going to. If they've not got it then tough, it's misinterpretation by numbers for them.
Whose 'them'?
When I questioned you it wasn't obvious to me you were suggesting he shouldn't be sold this window at all, because you didn't say that. You said you wouldn't be gutted if he left, and sounded confident he'd be replaced...not exactly obvious at that time that you were saying that he shouldn't leave this window.
No big deal, it often takes a lengthy conversation on here to get what people mean, it's impossible to interpret everything with a series of small quotes, but I certainly don't misinterpret things for the sake of it. I simply thought I disagreed with you.

You were wrong then...Roger
No I just saw that sterling had already cleared it up and didn't think it worth dragging on anymore.

To wrap it up, it seemed clear to him and me that he didn't want Robertson sold for sub par value when we can't replace him, to you it wasn't clear. And we move on.

For the record:

Fit permanent players
Jakupovic
Marshall
Kuciak

Robertson
Elmohamady
Dawson
Maguire
Bruce
Maloney
Clucas
Huddlestone
Meyler
Diomande
Hernandez

Loan/New players who have bedded in/shown promise:
Mbokani
Evandro
Niasse

Loan players who the jury is out on:
Markovic
Ellabdellaoui

Injured permanent players:
Davies
Henriksen
Mason
Odubajo

So 14 fit permanent players to pick from plus three loanees who either know the squad well or have shown promise since arriving, plus two players who have only played 1-2 games for us but seem shakey. So let's say 17 players with 2 who could go either way.

If we're looking from the perspective of the squad we have after going down (of which we may well sell some to raise funds) we have 19 players (McGregor is out on loan).

In addition to those, we have bids in for a number of players, with at least one coming on a permanent, and another loanee coming in who would probably go into the 'jury is still out' category.

I'm assuming if we do sell Andy then it'll be one in one out.

This isn't including Bowen or Tymon who have both shown themselves to be competent in the first XI.
Weir out injured as well.

I would say that the jury is very much out on Mbokani. He's a striker who hasn't scored for us. I thought if we brought another striker in then they may try to cancel the loan

I'm slightly perplexed by this Rannochia thing. On the one hand people are saying he's awful, the laughing stock of Serie A, yada yada.

Forget the Italy caps for a minute (though I haven't), he's also played for Inter Milan 130 times. That's ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY TIMES. And yet he's ****e, apparently. Doesn't stack up.

Reactions: Kempton
Ben Arfa started 5 games and N'Doye started 13 and scored 5 goals - hardly instrumental in our relegation and absolutely nothing to do with our poor 4th last year - I agree with the rest
The injuries were shocking that year. Not unprecedented and a league table showed us just above halfway. But all the teams above us in our mini league (Lester/ WBA/CP/ Sunlan West Spam etc) were well below us in the table. We also lost out marquee signing within a few mins of the season kicking off. It was weird how players bang in form would get injured..Jela had a fantastic start to the season, got injured, and that practically finished him. We had players in one position all going down at the same time, etc. Hats off to Bruce for never blaming injuries as the reason, but it was very significant.

Only anti Brucites could come up with the term 'poor promotion', I didn't realise there was such a thing. Our performances were poor at times and we lost to poor teams. That happens to a freshly relegated club. Still a good achievement going back up first time. Not great, but recall it was against the backdrop of the malaise the owners created (as was everything over the last few years). Had the owners not created that then who knows where the cub would be now.

Does it help if I explain that this period has been the worst Inter side in living memory? When Ranocchia was playing it was the first time IN HISTORY that neither Milan side qualified for Europe. Also Walther Mazzarri was strangely obsessed with playing him and this was partially the reason he was sacked?

Inter have just turned the corner and won 9 straight games. Ranocchia hasn't played.

Just to get something straight nobody - and I mean nobody - will be happier than me if I'm proved totally wrong and he suddenly plays a blinder. It does happen. A good flipside example is Ramirez, I was over the moon when he signed and I thought he'd be a revelation, and Sunlan fans couldn't have been more scathing about Elmo if they'd tried. But the fact is he has been absolutely woeful for Inter.

It seems we are signing players that have lost confidence, obviously have talent, and it just depends whether MS can turn their performances into confident ones. If he can do that then he is the messiah in my eyes, if he doesn't then he will be a very naughty boy.

It's like the manager thinking he's been rubbish last game, oh I'll play him again. 130 times.
