If he's so bad it's odd that Bilic, Silva and others have shown interest. It's also hard to believe that the Italians allowed a gash defender to play 21 times for the national team (English managers maybe, but not Italians). http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/756119/West-Ham-Transfer-News-Andrea-Ranocchia-Inter-Milan
What makes you think Silva is doing the choosing ? I think Ehab is identifying players and Silva is just told what to say.
Maybe Curtis Davies and Michael Dawson would look equally out of place in an Inter Milan first team but that's not to say he can't do a job for us scrapping at the bottom of the Premier League.
Surprised at you Sterling supporting the 'Football Manager' transfer policy. One positive about the lack of players was that it appeared to create a great team spirit. It's suicidal dismantling that.
In fact it makes it even less likely, as he won't be used to relegation scraps, and being just on loan means he has no personal investment to grafting us out.
So when you say 'but the fact remains that Snodgrass has the second best conversion rate from FKs in the league' you don't actually mean the Premier League, what league do you mean? As when we were last in this league he played one game!!
That's exactly what I didn't say. That's a new one, being accused of something I didn't say even when there's the capacity to look at it on a screen just to be sure. I said I wouldn't mind if Robertson went in general, but I'd not be happy if he went for £10m.
Every player has a price. He's a talented lad, but he's destined for bigger things and he was never going to be here forever. A-Bob's value isn't £10m, but apparently his price is.
Eh? The stat is from 2012 to now. I assume 2012 is when he played his first PL game. EDIT: Yes it is. So the stat is based on 88 PL games.
Exactly, and that is what I am picking you up on. We've already had the heart ripped out of the squad, we don't need another leaving certainly in this window....at any price. FFS tell him he can wait until summer. After all, we aren't a selling club
The heart? We've lost 2 players. I know we're down on numbers (or were), but it's not like half the team has done one. Jake has gone, but we've got Thudd in the form of his life and 2 pretty handy looking creative midfielders in Evandro and Guedioura . Plus Clucas and Meyler too. Snodgrass going was down to the player, so it's up to the rest of the lads to pick up the slack now and pitch in. Hopefully Markovic turns out to be better than he's looked, Niasse can start scoring and any other new signings can add to that as best possible. All this talk of the 'great togetherness of the squad' is really nice, if it weren't for the fact that we managed to win 3 PL games last year and played some pretty awful football at the same time. Marco is now trying to breed that 'small group' mentality out of the players and have them believe that they have the talent to keep us up and prove everybody wrong. I'm in the "we really need to stay up for the money" camp, not the "let's all hold hands and sing about how much we love each other" camp.
