But there you go thinking like a football fan again......I agree, Snods's contribution from set pieces is impressive, although his all round play is just about average. He refused a new deal, so this along with his age means his worth is going to rapidly depreciate before the next window. So cash in now ? is that the sensible thing to do ? It all depends on a big unknown on whether Silva can reinvest the money on younger talent, and whether Snods going affects our ability to stay in the Prem
I hope there still can be a bidding war even if we've already accepted 10 million, if not this is even more of a farce.
Because we've accepted a bid for 10m. We can't suddenly turn around to Burnley and say "Actually someone else has offered more, so we're going to reject your bid now."
I'm angry, both at the club and the player. It should've never got to this point, But both him and Jake have had some of their very darkest days whilst at the club. And both will be be at difference clubs soon. Jake didn't seen to want out and moved to a club that are serious top 10, top 8 contenders in turn with that I imagine comes a better deal for the player. But Snoddy seems to have been looking for a move, otherwise there wouldn't be all the public bids and rumours of wether he has or hasn't refused to play. But I think it's plain to see he wants out. And is apparently asking for top whack wages and it doesn't particularly seem it's important which club pays it. Which I wouldn't be surprised if Burnley turn down. I feel this is an example of someone just getting too big for their boots.
Too big for their boots is Diame leaving West Ham for us because he didn't want a relegation fight. Snodgrass doesn't have much time left at the top level, is lethal from set pieces, and is an incredibly skilled player, he's entitled to try and get top wage while he can.
A player with the stench of white ****e on him, going to ****ing Burnley? If this transfer should go through his name should be expunged from our history. He's set to become an unperson to those of a certain age. The **** him.
He's fit now so why would he have a problem? Football fans seem to think that any player who's had a bad injury must still be injury prone. I'm not sure there's a link at all. There's plenty of players who have one bad injury and then stay fit for years, and others who always seem to be missing with minor injuries without ever having a serious one.
If four teams are so readily willing to bid that amount you might think that the bid you accepted was far too low Ehab you ****ing moron
Not only have we lost our main source of goals, main creator, only player capable of taking a set piece. We have also lost another popular member of the dressing room. How do you think our players are going to react to the fact that the team is collapsing around them? Do you think it's going to motivate them and support them? If I was in their position I would want out as quick as possible. The club is a joke and the ownership is calamitous. If I was Robbo or Maguire I would be on the phone to my agent telling him to force me a move straight away.
I am not sure but I think if we have accepted a bid, then another club can match it, then it is up to the player where he goes. I expect he will actually finish up at West Spam. I seem to remember we had a bid for Ayala accepted, but another club came in a matched it and he went there.
Pretty Poor to sell Snodgrass by the club. If they wanted to keep him they would have put a much higher price on his head. It's quite obvious that they don't want him, at the cost of the clubs future
As expected, arguably could/should have got a bit more but with all what's going on behind closed doors nothing surprises me anymore and that makes my p!ss boil at times.
Well this is expected i believe Snoddy as being "asking" for a transfer and this is the last time we can make good money with him. By the way since when Burnley started to spend big?
Disappointing. Without Snodgrass we'd be adrift at the bottom by now in my opinion. One thing bringing in the £s, it's another seeing it reinvested in the squad, and that also doesn't guarantee players who are an improvement. I fear we are putting ourselves under even more (unnecessary) pressure with these sales. Still a week to go, it could be redeemed, but signs don't look good to me.
