The transfer window was a failure, only 3 out of 10 have come good

Salah - ****
Simons - ****
Tufan - ****
Vale - ****
Sinik - ****
Traore - ****
Woods - ****
Pelkas - Fairly ****
Seri - Good
Oscar - Good
Christie - Good

Simons has only played once and looked excellent, hence us trying to now sign him on a permanent, Pelkas is good and Traore hasn’t even played yet.

I hope Seri never reads this board.

Simons is so excellent he’s only played once

Traore being injured from day 1 makes it a **** transfer

If simons is on 25 grand a week as we all seem to think it would be madness for us to give him that to sign him up for three years

carry on like this and we’re on the derby pathway

That was Vale, I don’t think anyone’s suggest Simons is on £25k a week (though I don’t actually believe we were paying £25k a week for Vale either).

Nobody really knows what anyone gets paid, or however much we're contributing in the case of loanees. It isn't my money, if the club thinks it's affordable and keeps the squad happy enough that's fine by me.

Players get injured, it doesn’t mean they’re **** ffs, we signed him for years, not for one season and he’ll be available in a few weeks anyway.
Not saying he’s **** at football, just the transfer was ****. If he comes back and makes a massive impact it might turn into a decent transfer. Until then it was ****, and contributes to the failure of our summer transfer window.

Tufan has done decent when you consider he hadn't played for 18 months and was completely out of shape. It was always going to be a bit of a slow burn with him.

Covil was one missed, he did well to break into the team before his injury and Tim seems to have impressed.

Certainly wasn't a complete failure of a window

I love our new ownership however they’re not immune to criticism, the summer transfer window was a **** show

We sold our best player to replace him with Slater and Docherty on the wings

One marque signing is fat and can only manage 30 minutes a game, the other played just over 300 minutes before being loaned back to his old club

Our best CB is playing at LB

We only have one proven goal scorer

3 loan players with 90 minutes shared between them

4 players that spent more time injured than playing (Allahyar, Pelkas, Traore, Tetteh)

See also the Scarlet Pimpernel otherwise known as Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand.

I’ll up it to 5, forgot about Christie, Pelkas is an expensive luxury IMO. The fact is, we’ve sacked off at least 3 of the summer signings, ok Sinik’s a loan, but who knows long term?
Signing injured players was always a bad idea, then others have picked up bad injuries, again, can’t see that coming, but overall chasing players who could be decent, then thrown in randomly with a dodgy coach who made Cantona’s seagulls speech seem sensible, was not the way to go.

But hey, let’s not get drawn out on long boring arguments about what I think & what you think & what everyone else thinks about the past & focus on the future, see how many more of last summer’s transfers are still here at the start of next season.

no arguments here Bruce just a discussion matey. Sat waiting outside primark for the mrs need something to keep me going
