I think we're being harsh on a very well meaning individual. He can only report what he knows, remember that some posters on here are privy to information that he isn't and he can't post that because he can't verify it. The only reason we are often ahead of him is down to info we get drip fed on here, and as a professional journalist he'll be castigated if he used a football forum as a source for a story.

The harshness perhaps comes because he speaks with authority and certainty not "From what I know" or "A likely outcome" etc. it's all "This is done" and "Imminent announcement".

It doesn’t matter if you’re a journalist in print or on the radio. The pitch forks are always out on this forum. Disappointing really.

If he had less spelling and grammatical errors in his articles perhaps I'd be a little bit harsh on him, but each article contains at least one. It's almost a game at this point to spot them. If he can't master that basic element of his profession what hope is there?

Yeah it’s not good but I suppose it comes with being in the public eye. Somebody has to do it and I don’t envy journalists one bit. I was an editor for a while and it drove me up the wall how many people forgot that the person behind the web page was a human being. But, you have to have thick skin if you work in the media, comes with the territory.

I’ve noticed that, but in his defence the editorial team should be picking that up, Baz is just the correspondent.

I don't really even accept that the information on here is ahead of his. I can't think of a time that's been shown. Howden earlier declared that Baz had copied his information about Scott going to a League 1 side, but there's no real evidence of that, and frankly the idea that Baz is just watching not606 posts and then reporting as fact things that are claimed anonymously on here is ridiculous. He's obviously got some information about Scott's situation if he's at the stage of saying he's definitely going there. I'm also thinking back to last summer with the transfer saga that turned out to be Oulad M'Hand. Baz knew about that one from early on and absolutely no one guessed the name until he was eventually able to share it. On here we were pretty sure it was going to be Josh Onomah...

“If he had less spelling and grammatical errors in his articles perhaps I'd be a little bit harsh on him,” Maybe you should have hacked before posting about basic elements…

Yeah mate, perhaps take note.

It's probably been the undoing of both of our posting styles at times.

I haven't a ****iing clue where we're going on the Rosie n Acun roller-coaster but I'm starting to think that if it's ultimately a confidence and positivity trip, then bring it on 'cos we've had an awful lot of the other for the last half decade.

It's probably 10x worse on twitter. I don't mind him personally, I don't think he'll be sticking around for much longer though. The stuff which seemed to rub all the City fans up the wrong way was the antisocial behaviour stuff when there wasn't really any

Give the bloke a break. He's a football fan pure and simple just got employed by a conglomerate to provide click bait.

You could well be right but I know that journos over here look on sporting forums for ITK rumours they can regurgitate as stories. Might be more a commentary on the state of journalism over here but I'd be shocked if there aren't journalists who do it everywhere.

This is really overblown. He got it wrong with the Peruvian player, but the idea that he's getting it wrong all the time is a narrative being blown out of proportion on here. He's still the only voice people really take notice of in terms of what's going on inside Hull City.

Most of its light hearted piss-taking on here, rather than anything particularly malicious.

I'm sure that's true of those crappy websites and Twitter accounts that churn out rumours with no basis, but Baz can't be doing it in his position.

He and others read here, whether he or they use stuff from her can probably never be proved one way or another. But yesterday's very poorly thrown together article using a quote from Rosie that was said a few weeks ago and thrown together with "unnamed L1 club" with no other substance was the first time I've thought hmmmm. The timing and words used may just be a huge coincidence though.

Doesn't really matter either way. 99% of the people reading it won't have a clue nor care where the info came from and hull live won't either as it's just another click bait article for them
