Another season not utilising that loan market very well. Patino for Blackpool would be a great partner for Seri we don’t seem to be very good at identifying premier league youngsters ready to make an impact at this level.
It’s a real shame we didn’t go for Yoksulu who’s now at West Brom too. Would’ve fit in perfectly with the owners plans at the time whilst also being ready to contribute massively. On current form he’s probably the best defensive midfielder in the league and is exactly what we needed at the time and nowCan’t believe we’re forking out £25,000-a-week for a kid who isn’t even our player and can’t even make our bench yet we refused to sign a quality defensive midfielder in the summer which is one of our biggest shortcomings. Recruitment has been wildly unbalanced. Hope Acun and Kesler learn from it.
By the way, I don’t know how much money Ndayishimiye wanted but someone on here said we were in talks with him but couldn’t agree on wages. Whatever he wanted would’ve been better money spent than the wages we’ve forked out for Vale, Simons and Woods.

Send them all back. Can we do that?
And people wonder why we are close to FFP .....
Not for much longer thank ****. Ebiowei is on probably a 1/5 of that at Palace and he’s actually capable at this levelIf we're paying all of Vale's 25k+ a week then that's more an indictment on the ownership than anything else I've seen from them so far. That's appalling mismanagement.
And people wonder why Honeyman's nose was put out of joint when we offered him 10k a week to stay..

It just staggers me that we didn't expect Chelsea to pay a penny of his wage. That's basic negotiation.

Chelsea are very strict when it comes to loaning out their highly rated young players. You either take it or leave it. In hindsight, we should have definitely left it
He was signed based on his reputation within the ranks though, there was probably a queue of clubs who’d have signed him. And because we were desperate on deadline day we moved to the front by paying majority of his large wages which not many others would’veThat seems pretty surprising since I know when they've loaned out even senior players like Drinkwater and Barkley they've payed a huge chunk of their wage just to get them off their books. In order to incentivise lower league clubs to sign Vale they should have been offering to pay at least if not more than half, even if they had plenty of interest in him. The fact that we just happily accepted paying all of it is pretty dismal negotiation. As Kalman said, especially with no option to buy.
Don’t be too hard on the management. Everything looks easy in hindsight. Wilson was a game changer and if Vale turned out like him 25k a week is cheap. He’s been a disaster, yes, but we’ve had plenty of loans from Prem sides we paid a fair penny for and turned out decent.
