He was an absolute star last season, and got thrown straight into the side on return from injury having missed pre season.
This would be nonsensical specially when we are playing a centre half in his position currently.
Not sure if it’s permanent but I’ve been lead to believe he’s definitely been told he can look to move on, believe he’s meeting with Ros this week to speak on whether it’s perm or loan
That would rule out half of the current and future team...
Wasn’t there a report that we were interested in a young Grimsby left back a while back. Could be related.
There is that, but when you hear HT2 and Toastie discussing the 'robustness' of Baxter being questioned then it's something they'll likely consider.
I hope it's just a means of getting some games in the lad, but I don't see him as a particularly defensive defender. Derby last year and Boro this he really struggled.
It's his defensive side that really hurts him. Whenever he comes up against anyone with pace, he really struggles.
Greaves has been playing very well at left back though
Agree, wing back covered him in glory but if we are moving forward with a 4 I’ve always preferred Elder tbh
He doesn't get caught up the pitch as much though. Agree he'll likely be gone in summer.
That pre season game against P'boro was a massive concern for Fleming, I know he went off injured at HT, but Poku murdered him that day. He just can't deal with pace
They are fantastically talented players, theres no question about it, I just don't think they fit into how we are playing ATM. It's a waste for both us and them for them to stay imo
