Because he's the better footballer.

Oscar is on track to score more goals than Hernandez scored when Hernandez was playing in a better side, and Hernandez scored two penalties. So 18 open play goals in 15/16 for Hernandez, 11 already for Oscar.

Go figure.

On your edit regarding their fees, you can't judge a played by their fee or else Messi signing on a free for PSG means he's worse than Renato Sanches. Utterly nonsensical.

Tufan is class, I think we needed a Pedro Martins in to get him motivated. Poor performance, league position and now under the hand of a rookie manager who to Tufan will be some no mark, plus being away from home, I wonder if he’s just downed tools.

I do not agree with others that suggest it’s alright to make a loss on these players in 6 months but that’s almost inevitable otherwise they’d have had these offers in Turkey and likely stayed there.

Am I imagining it or was a sticking point for him signing that he not be able to sign for Besiktas from us?

Cant say im too bothered about Tufan or Sinik leaving. I dont think Tufan has the work ethic that Rosenior wants and im not sure Sinik is as good as Acun thinks he is.. he was meant to be the KLP replacement... what a downgrade.

The summer was a bizarre window where basically our owner bought whoever he liked. It didnt work out with Shota as manager and it looks like the same under Rosie. Hopefully we have a new approach to transfer windows now where Rosenior says what type of player he wants and approves every transfer.

it's not surprising Tufan and Sinik are likely to move on, maybe Acun's has now realised his thoughts of bringing in Turkish players aren't that simple. Certain types of players used to the Turkish league are not really suited to the rigours of the Championship. No doubt both have quality, but just lack that physicality you need to really succeed on a regular basis.

I'd argue both could have worked had we not been a right circus at the beginning of the season. Just one of those wrong place wrong time signings

I just don't get this talk of Tufan not being motivated, downing tools, lacking effort, etc. He clearly got himself fit, he puts in the effort when he gets a chance. It just seems to me that for some reason Rosenior doesn't fancy him or can't find a starting place for him in his system, or maybe he knew from the off that he was going in January so picked others ahead of him. I don't get it, the lad's quality.

I think that’s a bit harsh on a, near enough, 1 in 2 striker in a bottom half team.
Its an unpopular opinion, I get that, but I call what i see. Watch his goals compared to Akpom, Brereton and Stewart and tell me which you would prefer leading our line?
He is a good player, as I said he can head the ball well and is a real handful for defenders but to suceed in the Championship you need someone who is going to finish well when they are presented with a chance forcing the GK to make a save. I dont see Oscar doing that. There is the argument of 'you need to be in the right place to score' and I respect that but lets see what happens in the second half of the season and what he ends up with. Ive a feeling he wont score many more but will be delighted to be proven wrong of course. Nothing personal against him, I just dont think he is as good as people are making out.

Maybe he hasn't settled or simply wants out?

Abel, in his day, would have scored more, in the same team, than Oscar.
I'm pretty sure Campbell and several others would have too. The lad can play but lets be honest, he is punching at the minute and I am almost certain the goals will dry up but happy to be wrong.

It's funny people say he's just scoring flukey/lucky goals, but he keeps doing it, so is it fluke?

He's also scored three goals in the 77, 77, 78 minutes, so clearly his fitness is helping him overrun tired defences.

I don’t think his goals will dry up, as he’s always in the right positions. I think he’ll miss a few more sitters and frustrate us at times. But if you compare him to Eaves and Magennis you could count how many times they were in the right areas on one hand.

He has the lowest shot accuracy of most of the championships top scorers yet is on 11 from 23 so I would suggest he has had his fair share of luck wouldn't you? Have you seen his goal against Wigan? We would have been raging if that was against us. Many of his goals have been fortunate or down to him being busy late in the game. Fair play to him for having great fitness levels but I would be hoping if we are serious about promotion next year Rosenior has a proper striker lined up.

That is the difference and he is an improvement on those two of course he is but his luck will dry up at some point and then it is down to finishing ability and if it is at his feet we are in trouble, I dont think many would argue with that having seen him for a while now.
