I was sceptical at first about Shota but he's doing a really tidy job and we're improving under him. Completely agree re Allahyar, he's handled him very well and there's also plenty of players showing improvement, so they're clearly doing something right on the training ground.
I think the coaching staff are doing a really good job - still a bit of work to do to make players look forwards more but there's been a definite improvement. Did anyone notice the member of staff pulling KLP over immediately before the first goal and indicating exactly where he should be making his run - within seconds he followed the advice and "hey presto".

It’s not rocket science what the team needs it’s investment in the attacking areas of the pitch.
We will wait and see the owner has said a lot.
Free holidays to Turkey and such like feels a bit gimmicky to me.
Gimmicky? Better than "die when they like"...I do agree on the forward line though..I think our defence will keep on improving.

Just may be the resulting PR might encourage a player/s to join who otherwise might not have. It's creative I grant you, but 500 club ambassadors can't be bad, unless they attract adverse attention.

If feels, and it is, gimmicky! That's the whole idea!! Get attention for the club, build the profile, build the interest, ....
Of course, the 'gimmicks' need to be backed up with investment, and they will be. In fact, the investment already started a while ago with AS + a professional off-field set up (if only the Allam's had had the sense and humility to do the same).

I like the idea of a professional off the field set up. What has Acun changed beside the addition of Tan Kesler and Jack Rodwell.

I was thinking primarily of Kessler, Rodwell as well as Peter VDV. Already la set up that is light years ahead of the past few years under the Allams. No idea what further resources / infrastructure is being put in place but I suspect that over time it will be what's needed for a club with serious PL ambitions.

Hopefully not 50% like first mentioned in January otherwise they’ll be picking up £50 million in 2 years:emoticon-0105-wink:

I'd take that. 50 m each way for a 2m outlay seems decent enough to me when he goes to Man City or PSG for 100m

I just hope we get him on a 3 or 4 year deal, preferably with the option of an extra year.

These accounts will be more clued up then Baz especially that one who announced the Adama Traore transfer. He knows everything about Turkish football.

Someone who got bullied off this board by a couple of ignorant ****s and hasn't posted for a couple of months who has a producer mate working high up for Exxen was more clued up too.
