Problem is finding them. Coventry got a player like Hamer for £1 million from the Dutch league. Nicolas Raskin is a name most won’t know but is the sort of player we should be looking at.
Same with Swansea who signed Joel Piroe for £1 million. 22 goals this season.

I just hope we go back to Fatih Kamagumruk and try to get the Serbian striker Aleksandar Pesic from them, he has been scoring a goal every 2 games this season in the Turkish Super Lig. 6ft 3in and has plenty of pace, an improvement on Eaves. We tried to get him in January but he wanted to stay in Istanbul, but now we have guaranteed Championship status hopefully his agent can change his mind.

Considering where we are in the table, the number of goals conceded is crazy. It's top 6. With a better attacking scoring more goals and holding more possession and taking pressure off the defence, we would theoretically concede even fewer. To suggest that there are any issues with the defence off the back of a game that doesn't matter is akin to having a meltdown if we lost our first pre-season game to a League Two side.

At times one of our wing-backs has been KLP, and quite often the other is Ryan Longman. Both are wingers, and certainly not defenders.
Which is why we get so few bodies in the oppositions penalty box
I think we have done well this year, with limited resources but the whole team needs an overhaul if we are to improve. We are not going to sign 8 or 9 world beaters so clever investment is required. An experienced old head at the back would probably mean we concede even fewer.
