I can guarantee the Allams will receive around 50% of any fee for KLP if they only received £20 to £30m
They could have sold him and Greaves in January for a minimum £10-12m each before they sold the club and there will be a clause in the sale agreement that they are entitled to monies from any future sales of players owned at the completion date

And you know this?

Based on?

Uncle is friends with Mark Greaves, from him he is 100% out the door. Jacob offered routes out but more inclined to stay as per his old mans advice but also could leave. Take with a pinch of salt and of course anything could change but I have accepted it as reality now.

It was fairly clear from the last 2 windows that once the figures reached a certain level then he'd be on his way. £18m plus add ons if that's the fee makes sense for all concerned.

We're still waiting to be told the real price the club was bought for.

Whenever a good player of ours is linked with a move elsewhere I find it hard to be excited about receiving a large fee. Obviously if the player wants to go and the club decides it's best to let him then clearly getting the best fee possible is all you can do, but when fans say it's a good deal because we're getting a big fee, nah not for me. Money can always be poorly spent or transfers not work out and I'd much rather be able to keep a player we already know is good and improving than take the gamble on reinvesting a fee received. I feel this way whether it's KLP, Greaves or any other star player.

That’s football at this level though. That’s why coaches are the best investment you can make.

Agreed. KLP is more valuable to us than £18 million plus add-one imo. Value is subjective. I find it quite depressing if the rumours are true that he’s going.

In the modern game the player holds the cards though. If he wants to go we can hold him to his contract but get nothing when it runs out after 2 years of sulking.

If 18m is the fee then that's pretty close to. Bowen money, and unlike the Bowen fee we can expect to see the bulk of it reinvested back into the club.

Definitely, we’ve got a decent, exciting player already on the books before we even let him go as well. Allahyar will be terrifying back lines with some decent balls played through to him.

I did wonder when we signed Allahyar whether he'd be the long term replacement for KLP, given he can play anywhere across the forward line.
