Can't say any of the proposed (speculation or solid) signings look that inspiring so far, but would also admit I know nothing of them.
Lot of them linked seem north of 30 too - not ideal plugging old journeyman from different cultures into such a squad.
Of course, will be interesting to see what transpires, but I've been bored for a while now seeing the umpteenth 30 something from a mid table Turkish side being linked.

We are a lower half Champship team as it stands, despite how much we love our club that doesn't necessarily transcribe to players around the world flocking to join us. While it's nice to be linked to players of this calibre, they still have to be convinced we are a team on the up. Now that can be done by a well respected manager, or throwing sh1t loads of money their way ( which ends up with us being saddled with mercenaries). This young Iranian lad coming in is a start, but we have to be realistic in our expectations. For the time being at least
I am realistic. This year play off winners followed by winning FA Cup next year..

What about Europe? Not being too unrealistic, Europa League place will do next year.

It looked a bit ropey and cutting up in places against Stoke and Blackburn. Can't blame the chubby leaguers either.
