*Pelkas was the best player of Fenerbahce, last year. (not has the same form this year though)
*Samatta was the worst player, and loaned out :)

@yellowLegacy curious what you made of the interview in December with Shota btw. Seemed to say he rejected a couple of offers from Turkey, along with the Georgian national team and some from Qatar and Russia? So he can’t be all that bad anyway.

He also says he brought Babel to Turkey in the first place so I am a bit surprised if he has indeed veto’d him coming here.

yep, true that from time to time he has been linked w several turkish clubs, esp. trabzonspor (4th biggest after istanbul giants)
I’d say he has a high potential in terms of tactical knowledge but he had no success in Turkey.
Maybe turkish league is not the best place to utilize this knowledge. Not the best football environment, lots of distractions, interventions from irrelevant people etc.
So, this will be a great chance for him to prove himself as he’ll have a huge support from Acun

He’s actually alluded to that in the same interview about Turkey.

4 goals this season. As a back up, cheap, on a year's deal, I'd take him.
He has played 159 league games since September 2004 for 38 goals.
He is either a sick note or crap or both.
We can do far better than him.
He's only been linked cause he's Turkish.
