Agree totally.
I've seen too many talented kids having their spark coached out of them by analysts.
Analists need to remember they are there to assist as opposed to define the sportsmen that they patently weren't.
Theres a romance to football. It can't be reduced to statistics.
I think you can definitely over analise in football terms.
You can't always reduce a player's contribution to numbers.
I think Brighton and Brentford have shown that you pretty successfully can do just that.
Boaz Myhll, Ian Ashbee Andy Dawson, Ryan France....

There'll always be exceptions that make the rule. If anything though those players actually prove that analysing a players performance not the league or club they play for is how you can unearth gems.
And there will more likely always be those who conform to the rule and cost more in financial value than in terms of on-pitch contribution.
Brentford have spent a lot in terns of time and money to get to being a side who finished 3rd in the Championship and yet to experience 'second season syndrome' in the PL.
I wouldnt be considering them as an unqualified success just yet, but if you're a betting man then their PR is very good.
I was more looking at their record of buying players and selling at a considerable profit - i.e. identifying underlying traits in players that others don't, and then giving them a platform to be valued considerably higher. As we are talking about analysts and the treatment of individual players I wasn't putting much bearing on the club's performances but rather the players.
I see Will Keane got another 2 goals for Wigan yesterday, no sign of Magennis in their match day squad, he must be still injured.
