I’m going to take a stab at… nobody.

The manager hasn’t even met the owner yet for christs sake so how anyone on here can claim to know what’s going on is…. Yeah.

People just like to feel important.

Or he has met a manager but just has not spoke to Grant yet, maybe he has not spoke to grant simply because he does not think it will be of importance to him with what players he chooses to pursue, that could be another reason if he thought he needed to discuss it with Grant don't you think he might have spoke to him instead of waiting till next week but still go ahead chasing his potential targets down.

You can still be amazing by a player/s that come in this window and at the same time plan for the summer etc for the bigger rebuild

If we bring 3 in and they're Slater, Allahyar on loan with an option as Pesic then we'll be fine.

If we bring in 3 it's Slater, Hugill and Sims then we're in trouble and it shows zero ambition

Would also like to see an experienced centre back come in

We definitely need a defender. With Jones constantly injured we're very short, and although there's real potential in our back 3, there have been a lot of hairy defensive moments recently; a few times a hopeful ball forward has completely opened us up. A right-sided defender with some real experience would be a big help

I’m sorry but Baz must be in the dark here.

You buy a football club for £30 million yet you don’t clear out the debt of £2.5 million that is preventing you from signing players? I don’t think so.

In addition to this, multiple verified journalists in Turkey are reporting about the Allahyar and Pesic deals

Don't forget we have a Turkish DOF with top links around Europe but his first striker option is Jordan Hugill. That's why what Baz is saying doesn't make sense.

For what it's worth I reckon that PL striker we were close to was Hugill but even if we can't spend money there has to be a better options on the continent

He's probably going off here https://www.efl.com/-more/governance/embargoes/ where we are still listed to be fair.

Agree with you it does not make sense that the debt has not been cleared. Acun himself said there would be signings. Too many reports of signing players with some in the media saying they are credible. Acun team must have a plan at the moment we are not privy to it.

Need full backs on the pitch with defensive ability but I don’t think either Coyle or Elder are the answer they get caught positionally too often , Emanuel was beginning to get that right .

I found that odd, because start of the season Coyle was one of our better players then all of a sudden a huge drop off and he was the a defensive liability every game. Non of our natural full backs seem to be able to stop a cross either, would like to see us move towards Fleming more then Elder now as I really don't rate him. Fleming could probably do with going out on loan this month though as he really needs to get his career going.

Anyone know if embargo restrictions end in sumer regardless of whether the loan is replayed?

If so then it may be that we are arranging loans with pre-arranged fees in summer to make them permanent. Just a thought mind.
Also a lot less risk then paying £7.5 million for a 20 year old who looks the business in small clips but may not adapt to English football, so wouldn't be entirely against it. Seems to be a way forward for a lot of clubs now, if he gets double figure goals and assists from now until the end of the season then we are effectively buying a guaranteed £15 million plus value player for half if that is what we go for.

Might also mean that should the worst happen were not stuck with £7m + players to try and fund in L1.

Just wandering where KLP fits in with the proposed forward signings. He is wasted where he is playing at present. Agree with Howden that a priority is an experienced centre half.

I think he’ll be out on the wing again, I can’t see KLP ever being a central attacker
