Ref Eaves - on the day he arrived in Hull I was in Hertz rental Anlaby Rd . He walked in and I’d only seen the odd pic of him in action . Sat waiting I said to him if he was who he was and he said yes and then asked how I knew , I told him the ponytail and footballers calves !! He laughed and I told him he’d be fine if he put the effort in. He then asked people In there where he should live, some of the staff said Vicky Dock !! No disrespect but I told him most players go for the West Hull villages . He was dead polite and honest
He’s now taken note of what I said of course !!!

That's pretty much what they where saying to me, just in a more diplomatic way haha!

If we had the squad, then I'd be saying a spell on the sidelines would do him good, as it did last season. In my opinion next season will be the make or break season for him in regards to how far he goes in the game

New Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has ruled out the possibility of selling Keane Lewis-Potter in the short term, speaking openly about the 20-year-old to the Daily Mail.

“There is a logic point in football that sometimes you have to sell a player, but this logic moment at the moment is not soon for us. He is so young, he is not in a rush so we are not in a rush, why sell him in the short term?”

Also a bit on transfers..

"We need to make some transfers. I already have good connections. But I really like most of the Hull City players. This team doesn’t need too many additions. Correct additions will make this team very successful."

I think this narrative that he strops all the time is really getting overblown. He often screws his face up and moans when he misses a shot, but that's obviously not aimed at anyone else and isn't exactly negative, he's just demanding better from himself.

It’s really quite simple, a lot of owners buy a club almost like a toy and with no real knowledge of football itself but in the case of Acun here we have a real football person who is passionate about the game. He sees the game through a fan’s eyes and will surround himself with real football folk who in turn know the game. I for one am very happy he’s turned up here…..

Yeah I don't really get it either but maybe different people see different things .

It really isn't, watch him off the ball and away from the play and you'll see it.

He sometimes seems to try too hard (if that's possible) where sometimes he'd benefit from a bit more composure by putting himself under less pressure IMHO

Inclined to agree. He's only 20, probably a young 20 too and he's been talked up by everybody and his granny. I reckon he believes he should be better than he is and when he cocks up he shows his disappointment with himself a bit too readily. He needs to grow up a little and put a bit of weight on, gets knocked off the ball a bit too easily imo. None of that'll happen if he's warming the bench at a better club.
He's no Bowen, just yet.
