The EFL loan that led to the embargo has nothing to do with the takeover. It may well be paid as a part of the takeover but can be paid before or after...with restrictions in place until who ever pays it

Again, Baz is reporting it will be settled as part of the sale process.

I think you miss the point from the original statement....doesn't matter...I'm feeling like Aussie Syd

Soz if I'm being whooshed but we know the Allams won't pay it off, that's all I was saying. I take your point that they could theoretically pay it off beforehand but it's not realistically going to happen.

not being whooshed but thanks for your assumptions....we/you don't actually know anything and therefore you know what they say when you assume

If the Allams are planning on trading (paying fees) themselves this window then why haven't they paid it already?

No I'm not Ehab and I don't know if even he knows what he's doing but all suggestions are that itll be paid when the sale completes.

Lol there are some pedants on this board. We all know the score with the EFL loan, why rake up the coals, yet again.

Until the takeover is ratified - the EFL loan that led to the embargo remains, so therefore we would still be subject to the same restrictions as summer.

It will be paid off as part of the sale completion process - meaning we will be able to pay fees, and the squad cap will be removed as soon as it goes through.

There is a bloke on twitter suggesting the deal itself is no longer holding up an announcement, it's being able to announce a signing at the same time.

Whether this is true or not I really don't know.
This was your original statement...as I say it is incorrect as per your previous statements..cheers

correct ,,,therefore not relevant to the sale..only the ability to trade. Hate to be perceived a perdant who "know the score on this board"

I'm not saying the sale is dependent on the loan being repaid and restrictions lifted - but the loan being repaid so we can pay fees and augment the squad is dependent on a sale.

bloody hell...full circle, the loan can be repaid at any time irrelevant of the sale, whether it is or not, is the choice of the participants - current or future, but is is NOT totally dependent on the sale ( but it clearly helps the pace of being able to trade)
