If Jarrod is sold for £25 million say, I hope that the boy comes out and says, we've taken £15 million off the debt and made the rest available for GM to fund a real promotion push. With his contract your not in the greatest position to bargain. £20M is still great money and I highly doubt your owners or manager would want this going on into next season where he would be running his contract down and walking for nothing
I think you could hold on until the summer but your not going to get more then £20-£25M
You have the option to extend it to then and as far as Ive seen you havent taken that option yet but I expect you will in the coming days else I would imagine Celtic and Rangers will be ringing him up on Jan 1st
The point im making is come the summer he has 12 months and is running that down. You dont want that hanging over you for a year and then to potentially lose him for nothing. You would need to either sell him or get him to sign a new deal in the summer if he will agree to it
