I'll keep this first post updated through the window as normal.

Normally I'd wait until immediately before the window opened, but there's increasing speculation that bids are imminent for Jarrod and I suspect someone would have started a thread about it, so I thought I might as well bung this up now.

Many of the papers are suggesting Leicester are about to bid, with Newcastle and Villa also keen.

Newcastle's odds on signing him have just been cut from 9/1 to 3/1.
He can do better than Newcastle.

I dont necessarily think Jarrod is all about the big bucks, though at 22 he will want to secure his future. With that ringing in his ears, futures at Villa and Newcastle will be, 'not seeing much of the ball' as your defence tries to keep other teams out. Leicester or Everton would be a great fit for him.

West Ham linked with a bid for Bowen as well. Not to mention the Vermin.

This will be a real test of ‘He’s not going anywhere in January’ statement from the club.

The more clubs interested the better as it helps push his price up.

If I was Jarrod I’d wait until the end of the Season. He could get up to the PL with us (looking optimistically)

Not sure I would consider most of the clubs bidding. Certainly not Villa/Newcastle. Who always seem to fight relegation.

With all that in mind - what price now for Jarrod?

He’s not a flash in the pan.

He’s been consistently this good for 3 seasons now.

Look at some of the less able players that have moved to the PL from the Championship for circa £20m.

Starting bids for Jarrod at £25m.

He has six months left on his contract doesn’t he? If so we won’t get anywhere near that.

Tough one this... If we can bump up his price because its January and why the **** not, id accept £25-30m+ for him now.

Yes we lose one of the best prospects we've ever had, but its a small price to pay if it means the Allams can effectively cut the price of the club in half overnight and hopefully guarantee the club being sold before next season.

Cant see us getting top 6 anyway, with or without Bowen. We're just too inconsistent.

Let’s not fall for the ‘sell Bowen and the owners will go for a cheaper price’ theory.

They’re not going anywhere

As the best run club in football, money in the bank, interest from the 'gift' earning them more money than bank interest rates, selling a player or two, Henricksen as an example might potentially subsidise many of the costs of next season in addition to EFL money and not renewing some more costly contracts, I fear and suspect you're right Dennis.

Some people have claimed Demerai Gray would be included in the deal with Leicester, plus £10m. Which is obviously bollocks, given our wage structure. We can't have a load of lads on £8k a week and then one on 3 or 4 times that amount, everybody would get super ****ed off.

I'm sure some would love to be on 8K....
