Is it realistic to target Ejaria (Reading), I am guessing Swift is out of our price range. Cornick(Luton). Smith (Rotherham).

do we have any money, for starters?

Thanks TR!
Any ideas who we can afford as we are down to the bare bones with sick notes a plenty?

Realistically I'd reckon we're be looking at a couple of loans max.....

We probably have options to recall Bonne and Masterson if needed, kelman is already back but can't play for first team until new year....

The Injuries should hopefully have cleared up by then only to be replaced by seny, chair and kakay going to afcon.....

Desperately need a back up striker.

With Dykes, Austin and Gray already on the books and Bonne/Kelman on loan, I don't think we'll be able to justify getting in another striker.

I doubt we'll have much ££ after our modest summer spending spree, and hope we'd prioritise a wing back. Could even see McCallum sent back to Norwich and another loan to replace him?

I'd love someone to play in the Willock/Chair position who has a lot of pace, but can't see that happening.

Ejaria's the man.
Also, we can't pin hopes on Kelman/Austin. We really have 2 only, one with a dodgy hammy and one about to play for Scotland. Bonne may stay at Ipswich/may be no good in Championship. 6 games over Xmas + ACN to deal with, soon.

Why do you keep mentioning Ejaria?

Is this based on rumors or just your personal wish?

Ejaria was signed by Reading just over a year ago for just under £4m according to Wiki.......... On what basis can anyone see that the club could actually afford him?

Warburton has said that Kelman will be going out on loan again in January but not back to Gillingham. Possibly to Wimbledon where he could've gone in the summer. I still don't see us getting in another striker unless one of the 3 picks up an injury. Personally I see the wing back situation as much more in need of sorting and also another centre back. Holding midfielder won't be as urgent as long as Field can stay fit along with Ball. Dozell could also play this position although not his best to same as Johansen. Don't see us spending a penny, will be loans only barring more injuries.

Personal wish. Didn't realise they paid money for him! Hammersmith, you could well be right on the loan front.
not convinced any of our 3 strikers are the answer. Dykes is, for sure, but worried with him travelling/playing for Scotland.

None of the above will we go for ...or get.

Bonne could be recalled in January...but I think we will go for 2 wing backs/ wingers in January window
One for the future ( buy,)...and one who would play immediately

Don't think anyone but Thomas will leave.
Walsh the goalie should go out on loan...with Kelman.. Masterson who scored over weekend will stay out on loantoo I would think

There speaketh the word of Beth

Thanks Beth. Wise words. Have you earmarked any full/wing backs?
Midfield wise I have always liked Pompey's Harness. My concern is wing backs won't get us in the play offs whereby goal scorers will.

Think much will depend on where we have Injuries and absences to the African Nations Cup in January. Maybe we will need better cover for Dieng? If we continue with playing 3 at the back, 4 CB's with Jordi regularly injured is not enough, particularly with suspension risks there. Maybe Masterson will have been on loan long enough by then! Our current injury crisis at WB may mean we need more there, even with 5 at present. Someone really quick would be great to have there. If Field is back fit and repeating his last season form we should be ok in midfield. Likewise in the attacking positions. We will probably be missing Chair to Africa in January, so a quick attacking midfielder on a cheap loan for the season would be great, but dont know who if anyone we can afford.

Keep your hands off of him, Stan ! He appears to be the only one of our forwards who can score goals at the moment <doh> :)

Sorry WD but have always thought he's quite a good little player.
Anyone else we can have, we need a couple of wing backs:)

Apparently West Ham are preparing to put a bid in for Dickie in January to replace the injured Ogbonna. Hopefully just paper talk. Why can't they bid for Barbet ffs ?

Do they really want a slow championship defender, when they are challenging at the top of the premiership
