Covid has clearly had a huge impact on football finances, not to mention life in general, that said Ehab and Terry have lost City more money than the pandemic. Was it c8k memberships pre-covid, down from c14-15k a couple of years earlier, not to mention the higher gate income anyway due to additional fans paying for one off games. Without covid we've gone from c21-22k to c9k fans attending home games. Ehab was always going on about gate income representing only 7% of the clubs revenue whilst in The Prem, whilst now in League 1 it's a much higher proportion of revenue, covid or no covid!
The impact of Terry, aided by Ehab, getting us relegated is huge, getting back to The Championship would normally generate c£5-6m incremental revenue, and should that happen Terry will have gone some way to righting his cocks ups of last season. To do that I feel we need a proven goal poacher, the number of goal scoring opportunities we are passing up this season is criminal in footballing terms
