I was a big fan of Pato when he was here, obviously has the ability but only ever showed it in 4/5 games our of the 46, what ruined him imo was throwing him out left and right wing when if we remember him playing as a number 10 behind Bobby Reid he was literally unplayable and superb at times. I would have preferred we kept him and let Palmer go tbh.
I reckon Palmer needs more game time .. had a good game for U23's then on as a sub and scored, played well also played quite well when at Swansea.. wait till the window in Jan I bet a certain "ex manager of KP" will come knocking...!
Absolutely agree with this, but Pato was out of contract and Palmer not. I'm guessing that we decided to save Pato's wages and in the absence of any offers we're stuck with Palmer until his contract runs down. We couldn't afford to have them BOTH on our books. I reckon Palmer needs more game time .. had a good game for U23's then on as a sub and scored, played well also played quite well when at Swansea.. wait till the window in Jan I bet a certain "ex manager of KP" will come knocking...! Maybe JGF - but I can't see that happening unless we have an injury crisis in Midfield. I personally thought Pato was a really good player waiting to be 'unlocked'. I don't have the same confidence with Palmer. KP's 'unplayable' moments are less frequent than Pato's were.
Jamie Paterson opens up on Bristol City injury nightmare and the worst time of his career Jamie Paterson admits leaving Bristol City was tough to take this summer but has made significant impact at Swansea City already, in a relatively short space of time https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/jamie-paterson-opens-up-bristol-6074965 'The Robins were blighted by injury issues under Dean Holden and then Pearson, with the latter revamping the medical team as one of his first acts, recruiting Dave Rennie to replace Andy Rolls who left for Ipswich Town. in January, there were a number of City players unhappy with how their injuries and rehabilitation was managed last season, with Paterson indicating he was among that group.'
Interesting Wiz - we knew there were some medical issues under the old regime - with Williams in particular being very vocal about his opinions. However - Williams is probably made of glass - he's injured again!!
Absolutely, I don't get a hard on over any of them (unlike some), because the minute they sign on the dotted they are just the next ex. manager in waiting. I call it as I see it and the way I saw/still see it is and not for the first time under SL, the club became rotten to the core, GJ sorted one mess out, Cotterill sorted another mess out and LJ sorted another mess out, but all 3 of them for various reasons were replaced and now Pearson is having to sort yet another mess out. Many of the failures have gone and there are several more hopefully to follow. I find it strange that people defend players who have an impact on the team just every now and then and we still have too many, there has to be consistency and some still here have never shown that since arriving. I am glad Paterson is doing well at his new club, because when he was good he was very good, but he was never consistent at Forest and he was never consistent with us and I don't expect that to change, but who knows? and there's a world cup coming up and I fully expect many England players to refuse to play on political grounds, so there may be places up for grabs.
And there you have it. Part of the rotten to the core part of the club I have just mentioned to @Supcon72.
I noticed your tongue in cheek comment. But honestly you'd think captain Harry Kane and his merry band of hypocrites would 'fall on their swords'. They bend the knee for blm yet they choose to ignore the thousands of black migrant workers killed in the construction sites of Qatar. Gary Neville/Marcus Rashford have plenty to about social injustice in the UK, I can't understand why they ignore the terrible injustice perpetrated in Qatar. Football stinks.
After last weeks release of the latest leak of tax dodgers, where the Blairs were found to have dodged tax on a house they bought in London (that's what I call socialism) it would appear that Rashford has money invested in an off shore tax haven, almost certainly advised by Pogba who has been doing it since he hit the big time, you couldn't make it up.
What a ****ing toerag if this is true - I hate that one of our own would say this. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58969542.amp
Terrible, rotten, lowest form of life, if true I hope this person is publicly humiliated and heavily punished.
Why would one of our fans say that about a player involved in match between 2 Welsh teams? It's truly a sad world we live in, mind you it's happened to me more than a few times. I could add a tale comeuppance regarding that being said to a former colleague of mine, but it might upset a few. PS:- Just for clarity the comeuppance was not cancer related, more along the lines being pissed and not paying attention to their surroundings.
At ease, I never said that you did say it was one of our fans, I was merely pointing out the reason why it would be highly unlikely.
Totally underrated by club, manager(s) chairman and (some) fans. One that got away MOTM again tonight
