Maybe they have a midfield who can support his lack of midfield donkey work.

PS. We never sold him, he was out of contract, so who knows why he left?, maybe he was one who never accepted the new terms offered.

I am very interested to know exactly what he did to actually be offered a new contract???

I’d forgotten he was out of contract.
Maybe Swansea offered him more money than we did(?) I’m not sure we offered him anything at all.
I always rated him as a goal-getting tricky midfielder. Yes he isn’t very physical but that’s never been part of his game. He feeds from a physical player.

Never consistent enough for me and we still have a few of them on the books, that need to be shifted IMHO.

No idea how good he was but he had nothing to beat today. Compared to what we had to offer he was head and shoulders above any of our lot.

Given the freedom of the park by a slow, cumbersome Cardiff side. We had no answer on the pitch nor on the touchline. Complete shambles.

Oh dear, it’s not looking good for you guys at present. You really needed to get at least a point today.

Patto was on the list of "thanks but no thanks" for some reason all allowed to go without to much negotiation for new contracts or anything ...

You’ve a difficult run of games coming up too, how’s the mood? , will MM be given time or is he likely to go soon?

The general mood is as low as I can remember. I actually prefered the "HMRC" years under Ridsdale - at least we had Dave Jones in charge with the likes of Whitts, Bothroyd and Chopra on the pitch playing a 4-4-2 rather than this 7-2-1 **** we're trying now.

Mick should be gone after the Fulham game on Wednesday if not sooner.

I really don't know what the fuss is all about, Paterson had a good career with us, he saw his contract out, was offered a chance to progress his foorball with Swansea and signed for them, he played well for them today and they took 3 points, good luck to Swansea, Cardiff are finding things tough at the moment but at this point we are above them both in the table and we were turgid yesterday, that's football.

We had an excess of players last season, 13/14 out of contract, the manager was told to reduce his squad and cut costs, he did his job, quite frankly I am a Bristol City fan and couldn't give a cows cuss about Swansea or Cardiff, we've got enough probs of our own, Flint, Pack, Paterson and Korey have all moved on good luck to them, we've got Nottingham Forest on Tuesday and a possible 17 games at home without a win, now that is a cause for concern.

One other comment, what dreadful news that Brooks has got the dreaded cancer at his young age, it was great to see both sets of fans get together and support him yesterday, I wish him well, far more serious things go on in life, football is only a game let's all enjoy it together.
