Very good player and, if he can stay fit, he'll be brilliant for Everton under Ancelotti. Not a player I ever wanted us to sign though.

TBF, they'd been trying to offload him for years. They've also tried with Bale for a years and better players than both of them over the years too. Just Real's way

He wasn't wanted at Bayern either. Rummenigge said in an interview last year that they would decide at the end of the season what to do but he wasn't 'optimistic about making James' transfer permanent'. To preempt the decision Rodriguez went to him and asked him not to make it permanent. His injury record is truly horrendous so nobody knows what he's capable of. If he stays fit it could be a new start for him.

If you are refering to Robbo in that sense then we were not expecting top draw from Robbo cos he had just been relegated with Hull.
