I'm not sure Pards will take to Jack, we already know how he feels about the colour red.............................

A young English lad, a Geordie at that, falling into our laps on a freebie.
Looking to reignite his career after its gone a bit stale at his current club, has used that club as a stepping stone to move onto a bigger one.
Maybe this is just the move that he needs.
We're crying out for home grown talent instead of the faceless and spineless foreign players that themselves look at NUFC as a steeping stone to brighter things.

Back in January, Everton were keen and looking to sign him on a free at the end of the season.
If he's good enough for Martinez, he's good enough for me, and as I see it, a no-brainer to try and get him on a free.
Although if he has any sense he would go to Everton rather than here.

Oh aye. Gingers are normally stupid though.

Look this guy is ****, he plays for Sunderland who most likely will be relegated and he is ginger. That is the triple threat of why we shouldn't have him here.

No team should have more than one ginger - we have two already in Richardson and Campbell - we cannot possibly have another - there must be a rule in some old dusty cobwebbed FA manual in the vaults somewhere saying 'No team may have more than two ginger players on their books at one time.' If this is ignored we may get docked points.

<laugh>

I love an edgy sense of humour.

S***, I forgot he was ginger.
I may have too retract what I've said.

But how can you forget he is ginger?
That mass of ginger stands atop of his heed like a shining beacon.
It's unmissable. I can't even remember what the rest of him looks like. In fact, he is one giant mass of ginger and nothing else.

Jack Colback is more ginger than Rogers herself.

No idea how I forgot DM.
All I can put it down too is that I'm not a gingeriest after all, and the mop on top of his heed doesn't matter.
F***, and all these years I thought I was a gingerist.

All this talk of gingers and everyones forgotten our own Conor Newton. Him and JC as a Geordie ginger DM pairing. They could literally drain the opposing midfield's souls! Make it happen!

From a serious point of view, I'd be pleased to bring him in, as long as we use the money saved to get a quality attacking mid like Grenier. The mackems seem to rate him reasonably, and I've always thought he was someone who looked up for getting stuck in and had a spine, something our team has lacked of late.

Mike is reading all these kinds of posts and taking the bits he likes from them. In his mind this is green light to make Jack our only signing of the summer.
