Does anyone remember queuing outside ABC, or Cecil for that matter, and getting to nearing the doors and some usherette comes outside and says it's full?

Happened to me a few times, Star Wars being one.:cry:

None of this advance booking lark we have today.

I saw the original star Wars at the Dorchester (? a few doors down from Trogg bar) and the other two on holiday (I think) at Scarborough or Filey. Happy days.

It was indeed the Dorchester that first showed Star Wars in Hull.<ok>

Still never got in, on my first attempt.

Haven't watched the original Star Wars trilogy for years, am guessing they will seem pretty dated by todays standards. Was playing Star Wars themed pinball on the XBOX today as a coincidence, pretty good tables

Is it right that they are based on a true story!!

Before you do anything else just google the above!!

I just googled it, that hilarious, read below for a quote from a 'believer';

UFOs from Orion - The Unholy Six. “To the ancient Egyptians, in the Vth Dynasty of the constellation of Orion were SAHU hunters, hunting through the heavens for gods and men to rip apart and boil for food. Th [ e Old Empire of Orion has always been a highly competitive race. Their internal aggression has been very hard on them and they want to rule the galaxy as the rightful owners. Orion has had to search for and construct a 'Network' after a war wiped out their 'death star' called Tyrantor. (Tyranny comes from the word Tyrantor.) This planet size spacecraft had been the capital of an old and decadent Orion Empire of nearby stars in the Milky Way galaxy. Tyrantor was destroyed about a half a million years ago. (If this sounds familiar, Star Wars, the movie, was based on this Orion legend.) After the Empire was destroyed completely, only six solar systems with their respective star-suns were left, and they were all in Orion and became known as The Unholy Six. The rulers of the six solar systems in Orion had rebuilt the Old Empire into a New Galactic Empire with the six solar systems as the centers of their operations. The New Galactic Empire created by Orion is about five hundred thousand years old. Orion is older; the Empire has amassed many riches and has claimed many treasure planets from which to grab riches---including the Earth. The Orion Greys have a very high materialist intellect and are experts at gaining control over planetary governments by coercion and controlling economies and political powers. But they have very real and serious problems

Well, not the originals. Only the ****ty Episodes: I, II and III

Are they any good?

Brilliant. Although maybe a bit dated now as the state of the art in special effects / CGI has moved on a lot since then. The Empire Strikes Back was the best of the bunch.

BTW, we are playing Cardiff on Star Wars Day ("May the 4th be with you").
