All i can say is the lads will need as much support as possible in every game until the end of the season, i don't agree with it like everyone else but the support needed could just make the difference at such a vital time in the season

To be fair, it was always a very obvious risk that the town centre conclaves were inviting; it is certainly one of the key reasons I have adopted my recent position, the other is that not to support the team is now futile as the political argument is in motion and a boycott will not strengthen it further, but city centre trouble that involves our support will damage it immeasurably. A very good and legitimate argument has been made and escalated to national level, we should now support the club and team in exception to that.

Edit: There is absolutely no guarantee that Hull and Hudds bovver boys will be the only people targetting the match day.

I suppose the infiltration of forums has never been considered a tactic by those with other agendas.
See you in Udders-great shopping I am told

Fez.I am not for one minute thinking this is in the same league but if you had been around in Germany around 1940 would you have tried to influence people to stand up for basic human rights?
People used to laugh at that ridiculous little man. Then they stopped.
As stated I can see the vast difference in circumstances.
I do not see why the starter of this thread did not expect to have people voice critisism of his statement.I did not say I supported the miners or I was against the "scab"element you refer to.I was suggesting that the authorities have often used the divide and conquer techniques to carry on their merry way.
For good measure I am alot older than 47 and if you want to intimidate me with your record as a hard nut you have been succesful-which brings us back to the little Austrian chap in Germany you ****ing ****er.

cafe, that is a silly post. Hitler used the people against the people, he encouraged only one thought and only one opinion - pretty much as you did in your post (seing as how I and others seem to have misunderstood you, perhaps you would explain your comments re:Notts miners). The opening poster expressed his own thoughts and his own position, which is that he is going to get pissed, sing and shout to support the lads, it appears he might be doing this from a pub as he does not mention attending the ground, or have you read something I have not?

What's 47 got to do with anything or any intimidation for that matter - just try and defend what you choose to write. You are perfectly safe by the way, because I don't consider myself a hard-nut and I certainly wouldn't bother with some anonymous fool on here. Perhaps you should have learnt something in yours years.

So come on then, tell me, is it better to dance to the tune of Jason Van Berk and café or the WYP, as both seem to want to impose their will on others?

The diatribe of café, criticises folk in the street who probably could not give a **** about football; indeed some out there believe it encourages violence and loutish behaviour – let’s face it, they have have had ample cause over the years. The whole reference to Notts miners was an insult and stinks to the high heavens of someone with issues. Café won’t accept being bullied, well so won’t others, we prefer to make our owm decisions without someone trying to marginalise us.

Yes, I expressed my opinion, no, I did not criticise others for not sharing it – not once. There is no irony in my posts, only in the myopic manner in which some choose to interpret them.

But what about you?

You say to cafe: Excellent post. "You sum up the individualistic ‘couldn’t give a ****’ attitude that is prevalent today."

So what are you on about there, then? Seen as you are talking to me, I have sent off emails, completed the survey and travelled a ****ing long way to attend my clubs home fixture, so am I not allowed to have a different opinion on how to proceed? I have criticised no one for there's. whereas you certainly appear to in that one sentence alone; perhaps folk do 'give a ****', they simply wish to give a **** in a different manner to you.

You did go on to say:
"Naturally, the entire action might well be ultimately futile, but in my opinion that shouldn’t discourage or sully the fight and I don’t think ‘we’ should be dismissive if people are making a stand.

If we stand up and then other clubs’ fans in similar situations do, we could be a part of change in the longer term. "

You might find that is pretty much what I am saying, only I do allow people to choose one way or the other.

Good luck with whichever course of action you decide is approriate.

“So come on then, tell me, is it better to dance to the tune of Jason Van Berk and café or the WYP, as both seem to want to impose their will on others? “

I didn’t see this as an explicit attempt to impose their will, just messages of their frustration of the intentions of others to undermine what they believe in.

“The whole reference to Notts miners was an insult and stinks to the high heavens of someone with issues.”

I don’t see how this differs to you saying that those two posts are ‘akin to Nazi doctrine’. What would you find more insulting? Being labelled a Nazi or a Scab?

“There is no irony in my posts, only in the myopic manner in which some choose to interpret them.”

Fine. But accept that you may also being interpreting the views of others with a likewise short-sightedness.

I wasn’t addressing you or anyone on this thread directly. That comment was more in line with my views on society at present. I understand this forum doesn’t endorse political discourse so I’ll be brief: I note that the many inequalities of our times are scant fought against especially by the many.

PC fez .So you are encouraging disharmony amongst protestors. As for the earlier comment for the fact that the people at the march were not interested in football-I would like to inform that "poster" that the protest was on the way to the match ,within the park.Strange this was not known(unless it was a West Yorkshire "poster"
Rumbled.
I do hope the rate payers of Yorkshire are not funding any of this "under cover" nonsense.
I am convinced this whole thread is not a set up.

I'm always amused when people always quote Hitler or the Nazis in these things. The regimes in places like the USSR, East Germany and Mao's China were far more insistent on conformity and toeing the line.
As for support, the amount of fans at Huddersfield won't make much difference as the players are used to playing in a KC where the other team's supporters make more noise than ours, so our fans being outsung at this game won't be anything new.
Personally I am in favour of a total boycott but wouldn't decry anyone who choose to go. But I'm not prepared to be dictated to by WYP as to how and when I can travel in my own country. That really is what life was like in the countries I mentioned previously.

Let me take your points:

]I didn’t see this as an explicit attempt . . .

You may not have, I and others did; that's opinion for you.

I don’t see how this differs to you saying that those two posts are ‘akin to Nazi doctrine’.

Oh dear, if you are to quote me then do it properly and fairly. What I wrote was "akin to the Nazi doctrine of if you are not with us then you must be against us.", which is a very narrow and generalist part of their overall manifesto and doctrine, which included very bad things that you clearly allude to. Misrepresenting me simply demeans your own point.

Fine. But accept that you may also being interpreting . . . That's what we do and how we reach our opinions; although I have yet to have someone come back and correct me when I have challenged them to re-read and verify what they accuse me of. it's a common feature of these boards, when folk post first and read thoroughly later.

I wasn’t addressing you or anyone on this thread directly. . . . Good for you, get it off your chest! I think that what you have observed has been the case since man first took a ****!

This is just turning into a thread on how to misread posts. <laugh>

Back to the point, nobody except the WYP are dictating who can and can't go to the game.

I'd like to see an almost total boycott. I think it'd be marvellous if the only people there were the ones from Huddersfield who (providing they didn't leave a car at the services) could make their own way home. The empty coaches leaving the ground flanked by out riders etc. would make good tv. And a few people going still commits the Police and Stewards to attend.

Yup, that's exactly the sort of thing that would capture the cameras; as long as I've read you right :emoticon-0112-wonde
