It’s difficult for me to come up with a Newcastle equivalent to BCB

I originally put The Strawberry but I didn’t feel that was right either

To me it's not even as bad as a Newcastle corporate box because it can't be seen.

I've been in Shearer's Bar and the Strawberry, on match days, with Sunderland colours.

I was thrown out of the first and the Mags left the second ...

... to be fair I did have fifty Sunderland nutters in front of me <laugh>

But we have the last laugh because they're now wrong?

As I said ages ago it's the hysterical reaction of some Sunderland fans that they're laughing at.

Lets hope that's the last thing they have to laugh at eh?

**** sticks and the internet doesn't forget. That's the issue. It's not like the olden days where it's printed and it's binned the same day. This will come round full circle and appear often. If the filth get a win on Saturday be even worse.

You’re in a very small minority on this one mate. Everywhere I look on socials, everyone who I’ve spoken to is furious.

Hopefully that anger comes out on Saturday and they get a tanning on and off the pitch.

Not saying I agree with that post btw just that it’s not a few overreacting it’s absolutely everywhere
Growing up in South Shields you get a nose for what’s acceptable and what isn’t knocking around with both sets of fans on a daily basis.

It’s rare Newcastle fans stop laughing and agree with Sunderland fans. The last time was when that special needs lad pissed all over Bob Stokoe’s statue.

Twitter ffs, I don't let it rule my life mate.

Sorry but all this hysteria is what the Mags are laughing at.

It’s really not. They’re laughing at the fact their bitter rivals have decorated their stadium for them arriving. Has any club actually ever done that for a normal match never mind their rivals?

Would agree with this. .

Just read Phil's piece in the echo. Normally don't agree too much with him but he has this spot on and it's rather brutal (for the echo anyway)

Well, I never thought I'd need to mention Comical Ali ever again, but here we are.

'nobody at the club knew about it'....

Toe-curling stuff. First thing they do is play down the rivalry creating an awkward tea with the vicar vibe.

Weatherspoon is quick to say it’s all Donald’s fault because he’s obsessed with the bloke, then goes on to say most Sunderland fans would welcome a Saudi takeover.

I’d say creepy Caulkin tricked him but he leaps into the trap.

I don't think he's wrong in saying most Sunderland fans would have welcomed a similar type of takeover.

Money and success will allow people to be complicit in anything. Personally, I would have been against it but my club is important to me only because of my family ties and memories. Many think success is the most important thing.

It's all about PR mate. Not just that platform, all of them. It's how the vast majority of our fans and others around the world interact. It's why jobs in this area are so important and the top ones are there to build the brand and trust into the ownership of director group. We seem to have dropped a grenade onto ours all for 1 game game.

Everything has been handled poorly and most expect better. They deserve it too. Especially when the filth are coming to town.

Folk from Sunderland seem to be very sensitive to what folk from Newcastle think of/say about them

Does that not work both ways? Mancs/Liverpool exactly the same. Would you catch Liverpool rolling out the red carpet painting the away end for United turning up at anfield singing feed the scousers?
