How much time will he be given ?
Alot of other club fans use this question to make a dig at our club. Hodgson was removed because he was ****, uninspiring, dull, boring AND failing in the league and cups (England may have scraped a 1-0 win the other day, but are you really looking forward to the next game based on that performance? Not me). That was the correct decision to remove him - and Hodgson was already the manager before FSG bought the club.

Kenny was put in temp charge, then given a 3 year contract to build on what he'd done in the first few months. He should have had more time imo, we played great football at times, but FSG clearly didn't see him as the long term appointment and I think a disappointing league finish gave them the opportunity to replace him this summer and hurry things along. Rodgers appears more the type they're looking for, young and hungry with a real attractive style of football. He'll be the second manager FSG have appointed in almost two years which is nowhere near as bad as people like to make out.

Rodgers will get time.

Brendan Rodgers has agreed a deal to become the new manager of Liverpool. The 39-year-old is understood to have signed a three-year contract at Anfield and his appointment is likely to be officially confirmed within 24 hours. Liverpool will pay between £4m and £5m in compensation to secure the Northern Irishman's services.

Jose Mourinho on Rodgers

"I like everything in him. He is ambitious and does not see football very differently from myself. He is open, likes to learn and likes to communicate"

It will be interesting to see if he gets full control or if FSG are adament in bringing in a new Sporting Director.

I refuse to believe Brendon Rodgers is joining Liverpool until i hear Dave Whelan annouce it...<whistle>
