If there is to be no DoF then I expect more changes to be announced over the coming days. I will totally accept that Rodgers is a fine coach and tactician but he has no experience whatsoever of recruiting the kind of players that Liverpool will be looking for or handling the kind of budgets that will be required. He will need help in these areas as the job is just too big for one man to cope with.

I agree Dave, now let's hit the big blue wonder!

Rumours are that Martinez didnt want to work under three sporting directors, so he turned the job down.

A quiz question.

At 38, will Brendan Rogers be our youngest full time manager (excluding player managers here)?

Been keeping an eye on this on the Swans thread, they are not best pleased as you might expect.
Fair play to them though they have to put up with almost as many idiot opposing fans on their board as we do.

well theres something on sly sports news... we are talking to him.

lets wait and see the facts, i don't know if Martinez is out of the running or no frankly.

In that MOTD3 video Rogers says Swansea does not have it own training ground, they use a local health centre with a plastic pitch. That makes his work even more impressive.

If he comes ... IF! Then I'd have no problem in him bringing sigurdsson along with him! <ok>

I don't like this no DoF lark, I was excited about this. Maybe the Sporting Director thing is right, Same whore, different Knickers.

I like Brendan Rogers, I do not Like Roberto Martinez. Although Rogers was ****e at Reading (the football club, i am not questioning his literacy).

I think it would be a good appointmet for LFC. However, I am hoping for a high profile name to come in as Sporting Director to help entice better players.

Lol; did the Sigurdsson deal go through? I heard he would only stay at Swansea if Rodgers was staying.

You'd be well p*ssed if you turned down offers at bigger (respect) clubs on a lie....

Ah well, not our problem.

If we get LVG as sporting director or whatever he'll call himself. Keep Clarke & promote Segura & Borrell. Collectively that's a damn fine management team on paper, & the one area I will trust FSG without doubt is selecting a great corporate team to sit behind that management team.

So fingers crossed, A lot of names are made for themselves in the next 5years at our club!

He handled the media well last season.

He did, however he was at a club seen as plucky, punching above their weight, courageous etc..... blah blah blah; not sure he will be afforded the same good feeling now he is if as expected at Liverpool. Will be interesting if he can keep the same calm nature under huge pressure, remember he was under no pressure at all last season and was one of the media's darlings because of the romantic story.

Well at least we'll see if the conspiracy theorists are right lol. If he's not a media darling next year it definitely IS us ha ha!;)
