Barnsley sent him back, he's a bit of an arsehole apparently, he's on holiday already, we didn't want him anywhere near the team. And we're paying the useless bastard £25k a week.
What the hell Brucey saw in him god knows! For me the best benchmark of how far we've come over the last 2 seasons! As they say from (potential) hero to zero!
I quite liked this quote from a Villa fan off the Guardian report Very well done to Hull then! Enjoy European football under midweek floodlights. If you get far enough to get some big European team then very special nights ahead (though equally likely are some no mark central/eastern European team who rip you apart in qualifying and lay waste to the 'best league in the world' malarky! Still, better to have it than not and hope it creates(positive) memories for you all!
I posted this link a few weeks ago, pointing out the ludicrous fact that we somehow managed to finish bottom of a group, when we didn't play any of the teams in the group. http://www.rsssf.com/tablesa/angloit73.html It was roundly ignored.
Well we are listed down there but anyone fancy spending their Sunday working out what it actually means? I'm particularly intrigued by: Coefficient in green Coefficient can grow up Sulky immature coefficients. Need to be more mature about things.
I read that as, if we lose in the final we play on the 31st of July and the 7th of August in a two leg sudden death. Teams drawn on the 18th of July. If we win that, the 4th round is the 21st and 28th August with the draw on the 8th. Next, or if we win the final, it starts on September the 9th
Update from the Italian end - their qualifers are as follows: Definite - Fiorentina Another 2 from Inter, Lazio, Parma, Milan or Verona. These are all ****ing cracking ties with the exception of probably Parma.
