Blame solely lies with Ingram for the goal, he could have just launched it from the free kick, but chose a suicidal pass, he was also very lucky not to have a given a penalty away.
Almost, but not entirely. Ingram has previous for playing hospital passes to defenders, from before Rosenior's time. Woods should share a bit of the blame because he didn't shield the ball properly and got dispossessed too easily.

It’s just about the players knowing when and when not to play the ball short. Ingram into a marked Woods today was a lack of common sense - that can’t be coached.

Equally, it’s moronic that some of our fans groan about us playing it round at the back, then when we lump it upfield and lose it, they moan as well. Too many wannabe coaches in the ground contributing to the negative atmosphere. I genuinely struggle at times to think what some people actually want to watch.

Baxter and ingram have both made pretty similar errors in this system

So it's harsh to blame a keeper
We don't have top level players

So play it around at the back and rosenior looks like a genius

It goes wrong and it’s the keepers fault

bollocks

it’s an accident waiting to happen and it’s down to the manager
Agree to a point but whats the solution ? are there many? . Play it out faster , pick a man who can keep a ball maybe thirty yards away - do we have any ?
on the right side 1st half - Greaves kept staying inside so he was covered and then Slater was also inside. , had they taken a position nearer the side line we would have had the out ball . It’s coaching That’s needs needed and a improved midfield

The outfield players take the chances and the one mistake at the back doesn't count, we are poor at both ends ATM
Which makes you wonder how things are going to improve in the January transfer window? If Rosenior needs to generate his own budget by selling, who does he get rid of that's worth moving on and will generate sufficient cash to invest in 2 or 3 hardened players?

We've struggled today to put away a 10 man relegation rival and we are constantly making idiotic mistakes in defence,it's all very well people saying we won't go down but on this evidence there's every chance?

We are in a relegation battle ATM, we need to stop making mistakes at both ends and we are probably making more at the top end, unfortunately the ones at the back tend to cost you more!.

The window will be loans with one possible perm imo

As others have said, we're conceding less and losing less than we were before Rosenior. It is working.

There is still work to do, of course. The biggest thing to improve for me would be our finishing and final ball. The amount of good positions we've had come to nothing in the last two games is mental.

For all we go on about passing at the back, we've lost one game in Rosenior's 7 games, which itself was a complete fluke smash and grab. Add a bit of ruthlessness in attack and this is comfortably a top half side.

I'm no football coach as most on here will confirm.. but whilst watching the World Cup watching teams playing out form the back, (and yes I know they're at the pinnacle of football) something became glaringly apparent to me.. When the keeper makes the pass like today, the receiving player is not facing his goal directly, he's side on to it, knowing where the nearest pressing player is, when the ball approaches he's then able to protect the ball on his open side and roll either left or right and initiate forward movement... I watch Seri (too good for this team) get caught lots of times because he faces directly toward the keeper, in fact none of our players can do this which is why until we have someone capable of quick and safe transition in the team this should be sacked off...

I thought we played it out from the back a lot more efficiently in the first 20’minutes, a lot less risk free, but we are only one gaffe away from disaster. Ingram has to lump it instead of playing a pass that long and low.

Yes rarely is it played to the middle of the park almost always to the side when the goalie plays it out. We often seem to play it out to middle.

Well some of the best stuff we have played this season has been under Rosenoir. And although I am very disappointed with some of the results I am not ready to throw in the towel yet re playing it out from the back. Its obviouds as Tigers Cave said that the better teams do it and we aim to be a better team. If we throw in the towel as some suggest are we just going to hoof it out everytime our goalkeeper gets it?

I would say the occasional roll out to the wing is okay. But if it has to go back to the GK, then the idea hasn’t worked and at this moment, it should be cleared.
