I am nowhere near the oldest on here, Kemps. Some will be pushing 80 or so.

Kempton snr's 83. he's kind of on here, but through me because I borrow some of his old school wisdom. He's baffled why we haven't conceded for so long though. He's a devout pessimist and reckons you can't go more than three games without letting one in.

I think he thinks his minds playing tricks on him with this latest run <laugh>

He sounds like my dad! He's still banging on about how we shouldn't have let Long go ffs.

Does he get to the games or does he struggle?

What worries me is I feel Bruce has accidentally "stumbled" into this way of playing.. If this is a winning formula, Meyler & Livermore in midfield, Elmo right wing, 4 at the back etc... then why havnt we always played like that?

Even a few months ago we were switching to a 3-5-2, or even a 4-3-3 at times... then for whatever reason we played 4-4-2 with Meyler & Livermore and went on a decent run, now, as many people are saying, we're playing some really good football and scoring goals. So yeah, has Bruce just got lucky and after lots of tinkering finally found a way for us to play?
Seriously; go away.

I echo that sentiment, my dad lifelong City fan but passed away before we got to Wembley and through it the Premier League, oh how he would have loved to have been there and seen it.
Stood at Wembley, after the end of the game, I couldn't help but think deeply about all of those that weren't there to witness our eventual rise to the top tier, to say that it was emotional is an understatement.

Charlie Mullan, Hull ‏@CharliePMullan
This is Hull City's best defensive start to a season after 15 games with 8 goals conceded. Previous best 9 in 1948/49 (won Div 3 title)

Things certainly are looking rosey. The set of individuals are looking more and more like a well tuned engine (Dave and Elmo will get there soon). The only concern has to be January transfer window and which players may have their heads turned, mainly I think Abel and Elmo are the ones who could potentially be poached from us, alot depends on who is doing the poaching (Sunderland, Villa, Bournemouth or Chelsea :)emoticon-0136-giggl)) then the players are obvious;ly better of staying. If say Elmo and Abel did leave then do we have sufficient players to step up to the plate (Diomande is an unknown quantity at this stage)
It does look like the squad are really enjoying themselves at the moment, long may that continue. Enjoyment comes with winning and breeds confidence, hopefully that confidence will rub off onto Snodgrass and Diomande so their transition into first team football is made a little easier.
The squad thats been assembled would, in my humble opinion, be a pretty solid unit in the EPL.
At the moment I'm hating these International breaks, but I guess the players are welcoming the rest after a hectic October and November so far.

Players aren't getting much rest! Most are getting called up!

Most is an exaggeration. 7 of the starting XI who beat Boro aren't for a start.

Dawson
Maguire
Clucas
Thudd
Dave
Livermore
McGregor
Elmo
Maloney

All of which are not going out on internationals. Of the ones who have, Abel and Akpom will likely be subs.

Ok, sorry for my mistake, next time I'll be more precise.
