Noticed the sellers got 326 buyer/seller score at 100%, as these percentage scores are quite important to buyers, would he want to risk damaging this score by selling something that is not ??? . I would imagine if someone was a bit of a con merchant would,nt he trade with a chuck away acount. ??

Hi guys, first post for me.

I think this is a fake, i was told the new sponsor had a bright logo as they had issues with the away kit. Allams were quite prepared to have their name on the away kit this season due to that.

Also the sponsorship contract was only signed off a week last Friday (20th) so they were pretty quick getting that shirt made up and auctioned off?

I can't speak whether this shirt is genuine or not.

But I have used photoshop for the past few years at quite a high level and use it on a daily basis. This sort of thing could easily be mocked up in a few hours by somebody who knows what they are doing. The creases thing isn't an issue, as Strov said above, this can be achieved via the use of layers and various effects.

However why would somebody put this on Ebay if it was fake? They would have to actually have a physical copy of this "fake" shirt (assuming they were planning on sending anything to the winning bidder) and not just a picture made in PS. Nobody would go the effort of making a fake shirt to make a maximum of £100.

I call it real, maybe a pre-release given to the sponsor that has got into the wrong hands.

You only have to spend about 5 minutes on Worth1000.com to realise that this "fake shirt" made in Photoshop is childs play and can probably be produced in a matter of minutes to someone who has serious skills.. But you do have to question the motive, i'm just living in hope someone was bored one day and fancied scaring/annoying us.

There is another option, I was once approached by a club to be a kit sponsor(not City) and they sent me a shirt with my company logo on as part of the approach, it even had my name on the back.

I can't understand why, if Cash Converters are to sponsor us, they've altered the sponsor logo they use with Motherwell. That big patch looks, at best, cheap. On the Motherwell kit, they've just put their company logo straight onto the kit.

I think it is one that's been put together. If someone got hold of an iron on City badge, all they'd need is the right shirt. Adidas was flogging our kit design last year.

It only takes someone with some access to a screen printing machine to make one of these. I don't think it's photoshopped, but I do think it's fake.

Got to say though - I hate the sponsor - but I quite like the shirt. It's traditional city striped. If that had Tiger Beer on the front of it, we'd be going mad for it. It's a much better looking shirt than this year's effort that looks like a plain shirt that was run over by a cycle race.

Is nobody else thinking, why has somebody gone to all this trouble to make a mock up Hull City shirt?

I personally think it's genuine; I'm not a photoshop expert like some posters on here claim to be, but it's a good fake if it turns out that way

That is a decent suggestion. If it was genuine the most likely leak would be from someone who it didn't matter to. There could be a load of these around with different potential sponsors on. If it was sent speculatively to a potential sponsor they wouldn't have had to agree to keep it a secret, so it could have been a cash converters charity auction where it was won.

£50, that's why. If he did it often enough with other teams shirts too he'd make a bomb.

    You never know.

But whoever he/she was they knew everything. From sponsorship details to the fine print on the players contracts.

A reason the seller could have 100% feedback and still selling a fake: For all we know, they could have been told what this shirt is when they 'won' it at an auction. It could still be a fake and the seller was gullible enough to believe the person at the auction that it was in fact 'real'. Just because they're selling it, doesn't mean they're the ones who made the fake - the auction story may very well be true.

Am I the only one who thinks this is genuine then? We've had the most turgid kits in the league for the last God knows how long so why should it be any different this year? As others have said we feared we'd follow Stoke's abomination last year and we did, and I fully expect us to this year.

I really dont understand why we just cant have a classic, stripes up and down the whole of the shirt, simple, beautiful design. Plenty of other clubs (mostly foreign) seem to pull it off year in, year out. Sunderland even had a belter last season.

Didn't OLM post somewhere that Bartlett gets to chose this seasons (11/12) kit??? Could this be his final wind-up against the club????
