Apparently he has breached his contract so fair enough.
I think the BBC does generally a pretty good job of remaining impartial and reporting news rather than expressing political views. Its noticeable that comments on its lack of impartiality have only come to the fore since the country (and Chippy in particular) moved further to the right. I think the fact that both the left and right complain about its bias show its doing okay.
Its my main source of news, particularly when I am overseas. That may be partly due to the presenters and in particular this one:
