I'm going to make a generalisation which may not go down too well with my U.S.American friends: children are the most easily impressed by sparkling superficiality. All Murdoch has done is exploit the children by propagandising his garbage for the past 40 odd years – so successfully in fact, that the children grow up without ever knowing any better…

Basically once every year Sky open up their channels to those who do not have subscriptions to try and tempt them into subscribing. As for the F1 it's not really a 'free pass' as i am led to believe that to view it this weekend you still have to be a Sky or Virgin Media customer
