Was much sky basking going on at the circuit this weekend and with Wimbledon on at the same time I think they may do very poorly for viewing figures.
Maybe, but it beats most other systems, so far. I agree it could be improved. Come on Miggs, lets start a revolution.
Sky: a cheap and chintzy product at vastly inflated prices… It's sad that wrapping paper can persuade so many people that the contents will be good. I'm going to make a generalisation which may not go down too well with my U.S.American friends: children are the most easily impressed by sparkling superficiality. All Murdoch has done is exploit the children by propagandising his garbage for the past 40 odd years – so successfully in fact, that the children grow up without ever knowing any better…
Looks like more to me that Sky are dipping their feet into the water to see how many people would watch it if it was for "free" like we used to have. Thow a packet of crack into a rehab room with a time limit with unlimited use and see what happens afterwards...
Count me in too - the wrinkly revolution begins Er, what's this 'free pass' about anyway? I just want to verify that Sky is "really boring", of course...
Basically once every year Sky open up their channels to those who do not have subscriptions to try and tempt them into subscribing. As for the F1 it's not really a 'free pass' as i am led to believe that to view it this weekend you still have to be a Sky or Virgin Media customer
Cheers for that. I'll have to see if my cheapo Virgin package counts. Beats watching a dodgy stream anyway.
Maxi boyo, just how does one go about creating the first successful non violent revolution nowadays, no matter how wrinkly it may be.
Hmm... 1. Don a 'V for Vendetta' Guido Fawkes mask. 2. Sign up to Aavaz and 38 Degrees. 3. Sign all their petitions whether you agree with them or not. 4. Make lots of angry posts on The Guardian's website, repeating the phrase "Grey Spring" ad nauseam. 5. Resist the temptation to get Botox. (This is actually optional because you'll be wearing a mask) 6. Er... I'm running out of ideas... Got any more, Ernie?
