For those of you travelling down to Suffolk for the game I hope you have a safe and pleasant journey. It will be an emotional day as both sets of supporters will pay homage to the legend. We are pretty much safe now so the result for us won't matter that much. It's all about remembering the great Sir Bobby. What he would have made of the current state of the little club he built and loved which is now being destroyed is anyone's guess! Dino and the board should all be sacked for what they have done. Hey hi at least it will be a fitting day to remember our hero.

<applause>..........Loved Wark as a kid plus the likes of Murhen,Thijssen,Mariner and Butcher..Great team and an era when football was football if that makes sense.

Agree absolutely.... I was fortunate enough to have grown up in the Bobby era when our team would give anyone a game and no one fancied coming to Portman Road and getting a result.we had 7 Home grown players in that fabulous team and our most expensive player was Paul Mariner who cost us £225K! I will give our owner credit in wanting to emulate those days by only paying out 100K for players this season! Murphs is nailed on to score against us on Monday. When we sold him to you last Summer we didn't replace him and that's partly why we are in the crap we are in now.

I hope you go up as Champions as you are by far the best team in this league. <ok>

Well put mate.
There's only one Bobby Robson.

Am going to this game :emoticon-0100-smile

Would offer to do updates while there but frankly I've yet to work out how to use my camera phone properly (having sat in a conference recently trying to video speaker only to end up taking a video of myself watching said speaker) so the likelihood of me being able to provide 'timely' updates is virtually nil :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I will be at the game too Mrs M.
So they have to win and in style don't you think, or we will go sort them out!

It's actually my birthday tomorrow and my 7 year old nephew was hoping to be a mascot again but was unlucky this time around. I was going to send him into the dressing room to give a team talk about how it was his auntie's birthday and therefore they had to win otherwise she would be very cross :emoticon-0102-bigsm It was bound to work :emoticon-0105-wink:but sadly the plan was thwarted.

A fitting tribute is going to bring tears to many peoples eyes today. Both sets of supporters for the same love of one man. Should be a good game aswell. With so much riding on it for us mags. I for one hope bobby is watching this game and feeling the love.

So thiss Chippy's version of an 'official' match day thread?
<laugh><laugh>
<doh>

Would love to be able to go to this one as I'm sure the atmosphere will be incredible with a joint tribute to the great Sir Bobby.

Newcastle United:

Darlow, Yedlin, Lascelles, Hanley, Dummett, Ritchie, Shelvey, Hayden, Atsu, Diame, Murphy

Subs:

Elliot, Gamez, Mbemba, Colback, Gouffran, Perez, Mitrovic

1. How did Lascelles survive?
2. Expected Murphy to play but had hoped Mitro might get a run.
3. Yedlin playing suggests more attacking than with Anita.
4. Atsu for Gouff. Same comment as Yedlin.
5. Diame - <doh>

Diame playing is just for freshness, same for Murph. Hope this is the 1 in 10 that Diame actually plays well. Great to see an attacking line up, Yedlin back and Hayden in. Very optimistic.

Attacking line up as in players who like going forward, but where are the goals going to come from?

Not criticising the selection (IRWT), it's just a bit disheartening looking at a team and not being able to see a name that gives you a good feeling about their chances in front of goal.
