I’m going to be an avid watcher of wherever they end up

Nartey has been superb
More press resistant than I was predicting against some of the best pressing midfielders in the world at this age - actually kind of reminds me of Dan Neil but with pace in how he steps out from midfield (there are better comparisons but this is a Sunderland thread)

What a hit. First time the Danes have been close to cloae down though.

Denmark dont deserve this imo. Mind you I think Abline has allowed them to get space and a better formation.

Don't really like Abline but he's definitely a live wire substitute, just attacking the space with every opportunity and of course set up that one.
He has turned the Danish back line since coming on. Things behind them rather in front.

The depth of the French team is so impressive
I look through it and see individual quality everywhere.

What has been odd is they seem a bit lackadaisical as a side. They coast and stroll at times. As a coach they would do my head in. These last 10 minutes they have matched their talent with some intensity and look three times the side. Play like this last 10 mins and they win the tournament. But as an England man I wouldnt be scared of playing them at all. They look vulnerable at the back and at times tonight their mentality, when decisions dont go their way, has been weak.
