At a rough guess the players we’re sending to the WC should mean around £3m coming into the club.

There’s also the increase in sponsorship/merchandising/general interest in the club.

More than any of that will be the big increases in the value of the likes of Brobbey, Isidor, Talbi’s, etc if they pop a few goals in.

I don’t have a great interest in the WC but watching our lads will be interesting although sadly I don’t mean the England team. I’ve watched the Japanese game and had to laugh …

… the German tactician resorted to bringing on two 33yo CBs for us to fire crosses at.

At least Sunderland should do well and I can see how many SAFC flags i can spot as usual, always a good showing.

Mental.

If Italy get to the 2030 world cup, (if!!!), there will be people about twenty, or maybe older who can't remember them being at one.

Unthinkable. What's gone wrong there I can't fathom. Bastoni looked like one of the best defenders in the world a couple of years ago, but every time he plays for Italy he looks gash. Tonali is a good player. But when he's your best, you're going nowhere.

WTF happened there?
