The only thing that calms me down when I get thinking about where we're going to end up, is considering the other top sides in the league. West Ham and Southampton are a cut above the likes of Boro, Derby, Leeds and Palace IMO. I'd suggest we're better than those 4 but maybe not as good as the first two. Maybe we'll end up 3rd again ;)

Is this like the old argument that Man U or Chelsea have easier seasons than everyone else because they're always playing teams below them where as other teams have to play sides above them as well?

One of them is only there because we haven't had the opportunity to beat Birmingham yet though.

i dont think ill ever like pearson the man, or a lot of the stuff he does...but cant deny the improvement we are making, and i take back the comment i made that wel never challenge for promotion under him.....having said that, its largely down to him playing koren in the middle, which ive been shouting about since last august, so really you could look at it that hes only doing better now hes listening to me..ha ha <laugh>
 
Hull are one of the teams I follow and I often read this board as there are some interesting comments on football in general. I can't comment on Mclean not knowing enough about the player but if the team are doing well his stats are irrelevant, there are plenty of strikers over the years who help make a great team, I remember France winning the World cup in 1998 and their striker Guivarch didnt score all tournament, its about the team and maybe this guy is good for your lads. Seems like he is getting important goals too.
 
Good result a draw Leeds Cardiff, after a great result for us yesterday, if we can take the 3 points at Barnsley that will really though us into the mix, however a draw will also be a good result UTT.
 
Think we can be pleased overall though, last year after 12 games we were 19th and had only won 3 games. The gaffer knows his best line-up now and I trust if he will stick with it the goals will come. :)

Will you please jack in the whole 'Saints will fall of a cliff' bollocks. They've now played good teams and **** teams and they've held their own against everyone they've played. They have a good manager, a good team, they're getting good results, playing good football and have wealthy owners. If they don't go up, I'll be ****ing amazed, if I was betting on a single team to go up, I'd put money on them ahead of West Ham.

Hey its catching on this JACK phrase.

OLM, its a called having a bit of banter, stop been so serious, they came on our site without request posting a friendly banter quote so I replied, next you'll be telling me to Shush when we sign 'who are you' to the away fans !!!

Clear you are like a few others on here who dislikes me, but your suppose to be an impartial Mod. Chill Man, or go for a blast on your Lammy

Actually, I don't have to be impartial at all. Being a moderator is not a job, I'm just a City fan who posts on a message board, it just happens that I have also been entrusted with the additional duty of merging threads and deleting things that are out of order. I take this responsibility seriously, but it makes my posts no more, or less important than anyone else's. I just post my opinions, be that opinions on City, or opinions on other posters, or how other posters comments reflect on the club.

Just ignore the fact that I happen to be moderator, I do.

That's all well and good but I feel you sometimes hide behind the fact that you're a moderator to skirt the really big, contentious issues .
