That's what happens when footie clubs 'split families' I cant be the only bloke on earth that has an extended family that shares their loyalty between the two clubs!...but I've been doing this for years...Always used to go to the Valley with my father in law.....what happened, Charlton always used to be quite a friendly place...but now seems to be filled with one brain celled prats!

Perhaps the way your team are playing after last years league one performances might mitigate some of the crap! Welcome to the Championship!

I tend to agree with you, there seems to be an invasion of idiots this season who seem intent on shouting abuse at the opposition rather than supporting our own team and players and it was worse on Saturday what with the moronic chants and also what happened away at the Den when a flare was thrown and seats ripped out. I am even informed that the Club gets more complaints from its own fans about the behaviour of a section of Charlton fans than fans of any other clubs so that goes to show you how things have changed.

I've known of away fans sitting in the home ends where they've never experienced any problems and have kept a low profile so am sorry to hear of your experience, I thought your lot were impeccable on Saturday. I never have and never will understand this fake hostility especially when there are good relations between the clubs with the Knox/Mizen anti knife crime initiative, the managers get on well and many fans are neighbours work together. When Charlton/Millwall played each other in L 1 there was lots of banter but no major incidents.I can only apologise that you had such a negative experience but your team got the win so that must've made up for it.

Think the recent contributions to this thread just goes to show that both clubs have people of very little intelligence turning up to the matches for no other reason than to cause offence & annoyance to everyone else. Two seasons ago I almost gave up my season ticket, not because of the awful football but the awful "fans" that were shouting abuse at anyone, including our own players. More positive chants & less "Adams Family" songs is what is need.

Couldn't careless BUT if your in the home end you accept it for what it is much as I would at the Den.. You ain't telling me that if I was in the home end at the Den supporting the opposition and let it be known I'd be welcome with open arms ..can't see that somehow.

If Millwall fans are sooo lovely these days why all this talk of revenge after the trouble at the den in December comin out with stuff like extras from Green Street anyway it's over now we move on.

There wasn't any trouble though at the Valley, were seats ripped up or flares thrown from the JS Stand? I didn't see any. Usually there aren't problems in any case if the away fans whether they are Millwall or any other club are guests of Charlton supporters and sitting with them.

My wife and I I had the great mis-fortune of having to sit in the 'home end' on Saturday.
We were in North D lower....I can honestly say that I have never felt more intimidated at a football ground. My missus had to physically restrain me from turning round and giving a woman sat behind me a piece of my mind...I've never heard such drivel and childish nonsense..... and why do you think we are 'scum' I'm related to the home supporter that got me the tickets - same family same upbringing! My father-in-law was a lifelong season ticket holder at Chalton till the day he died!

After we scored the first goal - it all kicked off behind us - what a bunch of nutters.....Don't you lot ever have the temerity again to say that the Lions supporters are 'violent and abusive - You bunch of tossers want to start supporting your team instesd of trying to slag off the away supporters!

Anyway thanks for the 3 points - and I hope your home form continues as it has all season - you bunch of ****ers deserve all you get!

Oh and by the way - I enjoyed the early walk back up to Charlton Village where I had a lovely parking spot - and listening to all the drivel being spouted by a load of train spotters - (sorry forgot - the police wouldn't let you near the station - probably what upset you most!)

So you come on here and give abuse to people based on a select few fans, whilst moaning about how Millwall fans are painted with the same brush? Do you not see how you are undermining your own argument there? For someone who had a nice up-bringing you have a potty mouth and a right attitude problem. Never before on here have i ever read a post that has wound me up as much as this one has. You really are a tosser
