I heard that Ashbee, Barmby and his mate were in Star on Friday afternoon, either getting pissed or discussing a deal hopefully!

He's not actually stood behind the counter flogging stuff, he runs a separate part of the business selling very expensive watches, mainly to Premier League footballers.

As they probably do less than 5% of their business over the counter, that's correct. He deals with all customers, I'm not a Premier league footballer. <ok>

He was in Lounge after the game. We collared him, (I told him if he wanted a game he had to clean his own boots but I'd pay his £3.50 subs!)
He stopped to talk and had a good natter for 5/10 minutes or so.
Said about Deano (they speak a lot) and the club and NB. Was just as pissed off as us fans regards current performances.
All in all, a really good lad!
Sound bloke

Currently a free agent, we could do a lot worse than bring him back to the club in some sort of advisary, motivational, kick ass role.

Not after his exploits with waster Bullard. Shame as Ash would have a been good addition to the backroom staff, imo.

It was a utter disgrace how they treated him. If there was ever a player in our history who deserved a testimonal then it was Ian Ashbee. The guy was a legend. Okay he would have only probably been a squad player this season but who cares. Whoever was behind this decision (Nigel Pearson, Adam Pearson ??) should hang their heads in shame.

Nonsense. Ian Ashbee was to blame for what happened in the end. Most fans know it and Ian Ashbee knows it.
