I don't mind the "friendly final" tag, because it was the 80s and hooliganism was rampant and us and Norwich showed how the game should be supported, but it wasn't half a crappy match!

I hated Steve Bruce for going on telly saying how he was certain they'd win and then they did, the bastard!

Got revenge over Norwich in the '92 FA Cup semi though. I got ****faced after that one and had to go to work in the morning with the world's worst hangover. WHY play a SF on a Sunday FFS?

I though it was the wonderful Asa Hartford (the man with a hole in his heart!) and the deflection was off Gordon Chisholm's chest <ok>

Yep - Asa off Gordon (go to 1m 47 secs) David Corner was robbed in the corner in the build up)

as the camera follows the players around you will see a skinny little runt climbing the fence behind the goal - that was me all those years ago <laugh>
