Administration is the worst case scenario. And if it happens its not the end of the world, we'll be relegated no doubt, possibly twice, but does that really matter? Obviously no one wants the good times to end but all good things must eventually come to an end and relegation will happen one day anyway. We all go to support our team and watch football, nothing will stop us from doing that whatever league we're in, the quality of football on display might get worse but the enjoyment will be just as high as always.

It won't come to that anyway, we're a premier league team with a lot of potential and currently a very strong squad. We're an attractive investment, there will definitely be a buyer if Allam wants to leave. The chances are that buyer will more likely be a better owner than Assem. Not only would they have more money to invest, they probably won't be an egotistical mad men with a vendetta against anyone who dares say no to him. Sure there are one or two horror stories with new owners but they are by far outweighed by decent owners. Even the worst learn eventually, Leicesters Thai's were known as lunatics at first now they're magnificent for their club, even the Venky's seemed to have learned their lessons.

And don't forget, it's down to Assem Allam to find a buyer. If you trust him so much, then surely you trust him to find a buyer who isn't a raging lunatic? If he sells and we end up with a Cellino or a Mike Ashley, that's down to Assem Allam, do you think he'd subject this club to someone like them? If so, maybe you should rethink about your opinion of the man.

Ignoring the controversy he's caused, there's no doubt Assem Allam has been good for this club, but he's taken this club as far as he can and he's admitted as much. The chances of a new owner being a bad egg are by far outweighed by the chances of it being someone decent, and if you trust Allam you must trust him to did the right man.

I don't see how him selling the club and getting a potential new owner can be met with anything but excitement by anyone, it would be best for all concerned.

Excellent post.

This is not really achieving much, other than making this thread pages longer...

You are of course right. And I'm sure everyone is marvelling at what a charming erudite fellow Ben is. Perhaps we should ask him to mediate between the Allam's lawyers and the FA.

After all he's really made a valuable contribution to this debate

Hull City AFC

I love this club. Why? because I'm from hull. It's my team.

So......

We change our name!

We're now Hull Tigers.

I love this club. Why? Because I'm from hull. It's my team.

If the owner bought the stadium and called it the Allam Marine Arena, would you care?

Having read the views about supporters for and against its obvious that those that oppose the name change think they support the club more than any other city fan. To the point they'll not even consider the argument.

Those who want the name change are being called glory fans who only watch premier league football.

I'm 31. I've watched city play since I was 6. 1989 was my first game. But all hear from ex Man U and Liverpool fans is "I was at boothferry park", so was I. I loved Kenny Dalglish and Alan shearer and my parents had sky and I watched the premier league since it's first whistle. Just because my dad took me 3 times a season all those years ago doesn't mean I can say, I was there, when we were locked out blah blah ****ing blah.

I was. I did put my hand in my pocket. Only because my dad put the penny's in my hand.

Now all those that boo'd tonight are being called traitors because they're going against the club.

What a load of ****. If Mr Allam didn't come in, then we might have gone bust. If we had, what name do you think we'd have picked to start as a new club?

Hull Tigers would be flying high!

And we'd all be grateful

What is the argument? It's yet to be presented.

It appears the argument for the change is the old "Opal Fruits" "Starburst" comparison.

Excellent work. I appreciate the time & effort you've all put in over the last 12 months to come up with such a compelling, effective & trenchant piece of work. It really is formidable. I'm sure it will go a long way in convincing many doubters that we are in safe hands moving forward.

Well done to you all, thank you.

Any advances on "Opal Fruits"

Bolleaux to you. Silly Bastard

Your attempt to bully people by the constant posting of irrelevant, inaccurate, foul mouthed rubbish, perhaps?
